Sharp Stones at Water's Edge
Tribe of Floating Stones
lilac ticked tabby tom with amber eyes
prey-hunter
tom [he/him]
25 moons
Appearance
From the moment he was born, Sharp has been a leggy cat. His thin legs and joints made him look like he was made of sharp stones, hence his name. He spent kithood as a spindly and clumsy cat but that would not last forever. Around the time he became a to-be, he started to grow into his paws and his stature had promise as muscle began to pack onto his shoulders and hind legs. As a prey-hunter and well-grown into his appearance, Sharp Stones at Water's Edge is a powerful looking cat with broad shoulders and lean muscles on his hind legs that make him perfectly suited for climbing rocks and trees.
Sharp takes meticulous care of his pelt. The soft colors of a lilac ticked tabby have left the tom rather proud of his appearance and, in the back of his mind, looking forward to passing on his good looks and long legs. His wide eyes are a deep amber color and contrast well against his fur. His one insecurity is the large and rounded nature of his ears but he just doesn't highlight that part of himself, thank you very much.

Personality

- arrogant, stubborn, flirtatious
Sharp Stones at Water's Edge is painfully aware that he is good-looking and able to talk circles around many cats. This has led to him using his charms freely to get what and who he wants. It many ways, he is valuable to the Tribe of Floating Stones. He is a negotiator at heart and often helps to smooth over any problems between his patrol companions. From a young age, the tom has also been very driven. At first, the young tom wanted to be a stone-guard but when his build was better for hunting, he pivoted. Whether he's flirting with a cat or hunting for prey, he is persistent and willing to put his pride on the line to get the job done.
All of this, however, has led to an extremely arrogant cat. He thinks the world of himself, considers himself the best the tribe has to offer, and he will not hear otherwise. While he is talented at smoothing over problems for others, he is a stubborn fool that refuses to compromise when it comes to his own issues. This leaves him pouting when he doesn't get his way and is well-known to wander off to do things his way.
Another downside of Sharp's ego is his flirtatious nature. He is unable to commit to a single cat for very long before his wandering eyes draw him to someone new. Since becoming a full-fledge prey-hunter, he has begun to grow a reputation for being a talented but obnoxious cat with an interest in toms and mollies alike.

History
At his birth, the vision given to the Teller was of roiling waves crashing against the sharp rocks of the shore. A cat that would stand proudly with the tribe despite their sharp edges and flaws. That was when his parents, a prey-hunter and a stone-guard, gave him the name Sharp Stones at Water's Edge. Sharp was born a spindly and skinny kitten with knobby joints and paws far too big for the rest of his body. He was a strange amalgamation of his two parents and it was uncertain which parent he would take after if he took after them at all. There were concerns about the kitten's health but as the moons passed on and Sharp grew closer to becoming a to-be, those fears were unfounded.
Upon reaching his apprenticeship, Sharp had grown long and lean, more closely resembling his mother but there was still a hint of muscle underneath that soft fur. Sharp was excited to begin his training and forge a path toward his future. To some degree, this was disrupted due to the political turmoil that affected the tribe at the time. Despite this, though, Sharp managed to learn and grow, surviving difficult times with the threat of coyotes and vicious weather.
Around the time he became a full prey-hunter was when the fire ravaged the island. Lost to the flames were Sharp's father and the Teller, which proceeded to throw the tribe into further chaos. At least Sharp Stones at Water's Edge found a way to make the best of the turmoil. He put himself to use in the tribe to try and establish his reputation as a prey-hunter and allowed his eyes to start to wander to his tribemates. He was a growing tom after all and he couldn't help but be curious.
He is passionate and driven when it comes to his duties with the tribe but he is uncertain about the political situation. While he doesn't disagree with some of Sumac's points, he does chafe against the fervent way they are imposed on the cats of the tribe. As a cat that wants to do things the way he finds best, having to adhere to strict orders will never work well for long. With the return of Fog, Sharp finds himself gravitating toward the former teller of the tribe and his supporters. Without the oppressive rules of Sumac, Sharp has hopes for his own future in the Tribe.
