Styx
Rogue
black bobtail she-cat with green eyes
loner
she-cat
13 moons
Appearance
Bony and lean, Styx is well adapted for the tunnels. She has the shallow flanks of her mother and the elongated frame of her father — but due to her submissive posture, she's unobtrusive. Unlike both her parents, she's covered in black. Her shoulders hunch inwards and her limbs are often gathered together. Her tail is a stubby bob at her rear and only twitches with her emotions. Her grassy-green eyes are her most striking trait, deep as Thistleclan's pines. Styx stares into space with a wistful expression, and speaks in low and soothing murmurs.
Personality
distant, phlegmatic, submissive
tender, musing, painstaking
tender, musing, painstaking
Submissive: In contrast to the rest of her family, Styx
History
00-01 MOONS
12 moons ago, A Solemn Affair... After breaking up with Blazingstorm, Cinderfeather left Thistleclan behind and retreated to the shoreline to cry alone. There, she met a rogue who introduced himself as Honeybun. Unwilling to bear her distraught state, he provided her with comfort and warmth. A tentative friendship led to romance, passionate and fleeting. Within a moon, the silver she-cat fell pregnant with his kits. This frightened her. If the true nature of affair were to be discovered, she would be exiled. Rogues threatened Thistleclan for many moons and the clan was at war. Kits born with rogue blood would be treated with prejudice and suspicion. Desperate to hide her mistakes, Cinderfeather pleaded with her old friend Thunderfoot to pose as her mate. In the past, she nursed his daughter Lightningflash after the death of her mother. Her request was no different from his, and so he readily agreed to take the litter as his own.
Sandykit came into existence alongside her brother, Snailkit, and her sisters, Slushkit and Streamkit. Born gentle and unassuming, she spends much of her time close to her mother's belly while her siblings wandered outside the nursery and played kithood games. Unwilling to leave her mother's side, she learned much of what she knew about the outside world through her mother's stories. Unfortunately, Cinderfeather's tales of the great outdoors only scare her daughter more.

06 moons ago, The Burgeoning...In an attempt to calm her nerves, Stagstar assigns Sandypaw to train under Volespring, a senior warrior with a more lively disposition than her pupil. Despite the bruising and scars apparent on her form, there was rarely harshness in her voice beyond an obvious gruffness. Her methods were tempered with age, never soft, but never ruthless either. Under the senior cat's tutelage, her worries gradually eased into a mild curiosity and begrudging eagerness. Yet, her growth is cut short as a blizzard takes hold over the vale, choking the air with freezing snow and lashing winds. Caught within its snowy depths, her siblings lose track of their surroundings and are unable to return home. Feeling duty bound to her younger littermates, Lightningflash is quick to brave the storm. Perhaps encouraged by the presence of an older cat, Sandypaw reluctantly tags along despite her own misgivings.
Outside camp, Sandypaw finds herself overwhelmed by the blustering winds and freezing snow. She struggles to keep track of Lightningflash's bicolor coat within the storm. Her thin furs provide little respite from the cold. Once purposeful wanderings became aimless. In vain, she calls out for her older sister before succumbing to the ruthless cold. In the chaos of the storm, her cries go unheard and she soon succumbs to hypothermia. Only timely intervention from a cat from the tunnels saves her from certain death.
08-12 MOONS
01-05 moons ago, Renewal... The she-cat came to surrounded by walls of stone and the pungent smell of herbs. Weak and disoriented, the she-cat is afflicted with memory loss and confusion. She is informed of her whereabouts and condition from her savior, Altair. Day by day, he nurses her back to health, first with herbs and prey, then with physical recovery. With no name or identity to call her own, she is given a new one by Altair: Styx. She is allowed to stay in the tunnels permanently while her healing progresses, and over time, she moves in permanently. When a spring flood washes through the tunnels, she finds herself relocated to the Redwoodclan lands above ground. Unfamiliar around the cats she now shares territory with, Styx keeps her distance, anxiously awaiting a chance to return to the tunnels.
