History
Oakkit and Icekit were born with high expectations. Their parents were fearsome and battle-hungry warriors. They expected their kits to be as such. However Icekit would fall at this completely. She was labeled weak and thus ignored by them for the most part. On the other hand, Oakkit had the qualities that their daughter didn't. He was bigger, braver, and far more outgoing thus deemed the family favorite and they began doting over him. At the time he was young and naive so Oakkit didn't see the drift between his sister and his parents. He just loved the attention and that was that.
Oakkit was told many stories mainly the tales of battle and history of Redwoodclan. It all enthralled him! He wanted to become something of legend someday and the little tom was determined to do just that. By the time he was three moons old, the little tom had become very narrow-minded with ideals of his parents. Eventually he reached the age of six moons old and became an apprentice. He was mentored by a Senior warrior called Dust-. She had trained many apprentices in her youth before Oakpaw so he wouldn't be any different right? Wrong! The first two moons of his training were chaotic as her teaching clashes with he was taught as kit. Mainly the fact Dust- was constantly trying to get him to see something other than the big picture. That were more to life than just battles.
Oakpaw wouldn't understand this nor did he take it to heart until he saw his sister getting bullied by some other apprentices for the first time. The siblings hadn't really talked in moons since Oakpaw was far more focused on his training and more or less pushed her aside. Seeing that finally made the young apprentice come to his senses and change his priorities. On the down low he beat the snot out of Icepaw's bullies and kept a closer eye on her. He wanted to prove he still cared about his sister even if it didn't seem like it at times. From then on out Oakpaw's training with Dust- went smoothly although he couldn't completely stakes away his zest for battle. Eventually due to his strength and determination he earned his warrior name forever to be known as Oaktalon.
The next few moons of his warriorhood were spent making a good reputation as being dependable. Oaktalon keep minimal contact with sister but focused more on mentor pairings with their training as well as keeping the newly-named warriors on their toes. The warrior even went on patrols twice a day just to prove himself. His efforts were rewarded with his first apprentice Dewpaw. She was a sweetheart sometime a bit timid but she warmed up Oaktalon. Training Dewpaw was the time of his life. He took pride every one of her success and and failures. Dewpaw learned warrior name and stuck to close to Oaktalon since. Life was wonderful until it wasn't. A nasty border skirmish with a Lichenclan patrol took the life of his apprentice and he hated that clan since.
Now moons later with sickness going around Oaktalon remains one of few unfazed it and the death of Redfox. However Icecloud becoming the new deputy of Redwoodclan Oaktalon still has mixed feelings. He can help but to feel there will be trouble afoot and not even from Lichenclan.
