SILVERTONGUE
REDWOODCLAN
LIGHT SILVER AND PALE BROWN TABBY WITH PALE GREEN EYES
WARRIOR
SHE-CAT
TWELVE MOONS
Appearance
The newer warrior is surprisingly tiny for a RedwoodClan cat even though she is perfectly balanced for life within her Clan. Silvertongue is certainly not the tallest cat in the Clan, in fact she is probably the shortest of all the RedwoodClan warriors. Regardless of that, her legs are long for her body and her hind legs are powerful enough to complete the leaps and bounds necessary for her to survive within Clan without being a burden on her fellow Clanmates. Her pelt is a lighter shade of silvers with darker shades of grey thrown throughout her fur. With Silvertongue being a tabby, her stripes are a beautiful pale brown caramel honey color that stand out just enough on her pelt to be visible to everyone else. Silvertongue also has white on her muzzle, chin, neck, chest, and her entire underbelly. All four of her paws are also pure white. Her face has more of the darker shades of grey mixed with more of the caramel honey colored brown stripes. Her ears are a bright pink that is very easy to see since most of the fur on her ears is white mixed with light silver. Her nose is a soft pink that is outlined in black. Silvertongue’s eyes are a bright and intelligent yet very pale, almost dull green color.
Personality
Silvertongue is a very cautious cat who takes her time thinking over every single word that she is going to say. She does this because she talks with a stutter that is less noticeable when she consciously thinks about what she is going to say before she says it. However, her stutter does get significantly worse when she speaks rapidly because of fear or excitement or any other extreme emotion.
Having her stutter throughout her entire life has caused Silvertongue to not be very confident in her mannerisms which shows sometimes in how she moves slowly, once again, thinking over everything before deciding how to proceed. This has actually helped turn her into a superb hunter and is easily one of the best in the Clan. Which is good because she is not very good at fighting or defending herself. She also has another quirk about her that others in the Clan often find quite weird.
Silvertongue is a natural storyteller. She lives and breathes stories. Of all kinds, factual and fictional. Even as a warrior, Silvertongue can be seen listening to the elder’s stories right next to the kits, often being more enthralled than the kits are no matter how many times she has heard the stories. She will also easily make up stories of her own as if she was breathing them and she’ll tell them to anyone who will listen. In fact, when she’s telling her stories is pretty much the only time she does not stutter at all. The she-cat is not just interested in stories though but also histories and cataloguing lineages of her Clan as well as keeping records of the major events that have happened within all of the Clans to the best of her ability. Which is one of the reasons why she views her work as important; because someone needs to keep track of the truth that happens throughout the Clans, right?

History
Silverkit was part of the second litter of kits born to her father, Ottersplash, and her mother, Doe-eyes. In this litter, there were three healthy kits: Black-kit, Silverkit, and Whitekit. She has four older brothers and sisters too, from her parent’s first litter. When it was discovered that Silverkit had a terrible stutter, Black-kit and Whitekit started to make fun of her loosely. The two would never take the teasing far enough to cause Ottersplash or Doe-eyes to do more than remind the siblings to be nice to their sister. Doe-eyes was quite worried for the first few moons of her life when the stutter did not dissipate over time as Silverkit grew. After a few trips to see the medicine cat, it was determined that the stutter was just something that Silverkit was going to have to live with and that it should not interfere with her becoming a warrior too much as long as she worked hard at communicating better. Satisfied with that answer, Silverkit’s mother and father started working with Silverkit on a regular basis to the slight annoyance of her siblings. It was around this time that Silverkit became interested in not only listening to all of the elder’s stories but also started to make up ones of her own.
By the time the three kits were to become apprentices, Silverkit was at least understandable in her speech as long as the listener was patient with her. It was for this reason why Silverpaw was given an older mentor who would hopefully be patient in his mentorship. That plan backfired quickly however and it was soon well known that her mentor wanted nothing to do with Silverpaw and instead just wanted to move on towards the elders den as soon as she became a warrior. To make matters worse, Blackpaw and Whitepaw had not only increased their teasing but had gotten a lot of the other apprentices involved in bullying Silverpaw too. Her stutter got worse again before her older brother, Rockjaw, took his younger sister under his wing. With Rockjaw’s patience and confidence boosting personality, Silverpaw thrived under his guidance. Silverpaw continued to take good care of the elder’s beings she loved their stories so much and they enjoyed listening to her own stories. Silverpaw also started peppering her parents about her lineage as well as other cats within the Clan. She became quite talented at hunting and her stutter almost disappeared as long as she concentrated hard enough on what she was going to say before she said anything.
As Silverpaw’s stutter started to disappear, the teasing that the other apprentices had been doing also disappeared. Some of them had even came to her to officially apologize for their behavior as they neared the end of their apprenticeship. At the end of her assessment, Silverpaw became a warrior alongside Blackpaw and Whitepaw as well as two other apprentices. Silvertongue is slowly getting used to her new name and at first hated it her new name because all it did was remind herself that she was different. But now after being a warrior for a few days, she’s starting to enjoy her new name.
