Fallenfire was sitting on the outskirts of camp, bathing in filtered sunlight as she enjoyed a solo session to herself in the laps of her tongue. Grooming herself, as uncharacteristic as it may sound for the tough she-cat, was her favorite way to relax, especially in solitude. Sharing tongues was great and all, but Fallenfire found it quite odd to accomplish the tradition, having to use your tongue for multiple purposes and all.
How was one supposed to conversate and clean at the same time? Fallenfire would either get too into the cleaning aspect or the talking, it was never an even mixture of both. Besides, grooming itself was satisfying itself. She didn't need gossip filling her ears for the extra stimulation. But as her tongue guided through her pelt like streams coarsing through ground, her amber gaze managed to catch sight of her denmate Willowshine.
A grimace managed to crease her face. The fresh warrior was quite the friendly apprentice, in fact one of the most approachable in their rank. But it seemed as if the second they all turned warriors, Willowshine had been the only one to betray drastic change. Her demeanor had dropped, and she was alone more often. Although her change in attitude would have not been enough for Fallenfire to blink at, there was a certain time she remembered clearly almost a dark pain in her eyes.
The white she-cat recalled being with her friend Blazingstorm at the time, and she hadn't been really paying attention to their surroundings until a feeling of being watched crept through her whiskers. Instinctively she remembered glancing Willowshine's way, and what met her gaze had been imprinted on her memory ever since. Willowshine had something bothering her, and it wasn't something small.
"Hey Willowshine, you should come join me in the sunshine where you belong," Fallenfire grinned as she padded up to the tabby warrior, bluntly inviting herself into Willowshine's presence without a moments thought. Fallenfire couldn't relax now. After noticing her denmate's appearance from the warriors den, the bright soul caressing the lights of her eyes dimmed to a lower degree, just sitting around ignoring the lingering problem was unbearable. There had to be a way to cheer her up. "Come on, I got this spot on my back I really need help getting clean. And I found the warmest spot in the camp, I swear!“
