Wrenfeather
Thistleclan
Red tabby tom with bright yellow-green eyes
Warrior
Male
32 moons
Appearance
- Wrenfeather is a lanky cat, there seems to be no end to his legs, and he towers over most clanmates, it’s quite a strange sight amongst the smaller members. Often he will get caught up amongst his long legs in the woods and foliage, but tries his best to avoid this as best he can. His fur is extremely short and red-tinted, he has some ticked tabby marks along his whole body, and his forehead sports the tabby M. Most of his fur is the same color, but around his eyes, muzzle and chest it is lighter. If you look at the end of his lengthy tail, is a unique cream tip. He has an angular face, with round, yellow-green eyes, he has long ears and a shorter nose. He does often sport an ‘angry’ or ‘aggressive’ look while in thought.
Personality
✓ Compassionate-
Wrenfeather is an extremely sympathetic cat, he prefers putting himself in other cats’ paws before making decisions or picking sides. Although even picking sides is difficult for the tom, as he likes to see all sides of a story, and often it’s difficult to not sympathize with all of it. He’s an extremely kind cat as well, not really how most Thistleclanners are. The red cat loves talking and learning about others, which some of his clan mates may find a bit annoying, but it comes from a good place.
✓ Fast Learner-
When he stops talking and being nice all the time, he’s actually really good at learning and paying attention. He values learning from senior Warriors, as he’s still relatively knew in the grand scheme of it all. He’s also able to learn the patterns of certain prey or the schedules of his clan mates. It’s really only useful to him, as many assume his heart is bigger than his brain.
✓/✗ Timid-
Although extremely friendly, the tom lacks proper confidence, he has a hard time approaching those he looks up to, though, or people he doesn’t know. This can be good, as he may not approach someone in a bad mood, but it’s mostly chalked up to a general fear of being embarrassed or saying something wrong, as well as wanting to spare others feelings.
✗ Self-conscious-
This cat, though loving and accepting of almost all other cats, is extremely conscious of himself. He find that he comes on too strong, and often gets uncomfortable and overthinks a lot of what he says, it’s hard for him to see his good qualities, friendly becomes annoying, Fast learner becomes over-analyzing, it’s not that he hates himself, it’s more that he finds himself a nuisance.
✗ Rebellious Streak-
After being the golden child of his family, Wrenfeather finds himself itching for adventure and excitement every once in a while. He’s dedicated to his clan, sure, but doing things that are fun or seem like the opposite of what he’d do, he’ll do. Sometimes they’re high risk, sometimes low risk, but he gets bored just like anyone else, and he loves the excitement and thrill of doing something just on the edge of maybe not fitting into the warrior code.

History
-After Having their first litter, and only Hawktail surviving, Minkfur and Dustclaw waited quite a long time before having their next litter, 29 moons to be exact. After they decided to have their second litter, both kits were born healthy, Wrenkit and Hornetkit. They had an extremely happy and nurtured kithood. Unfortunately, though, at this stage in his life, the only time he saw Hawktail was when she was arguing with their parents, making him think she was grouchy and a bit scary.
Soon though, the siblings were to become apprentices, and they were named Hornetpaw and Wrenpaw. Wrenpaw was given a Warrior on the cusp of becoming a senior, Pineclaw. He was already starting to have trouble moving around, and so they often trained with other apprentices. Pineclaw had a hard time paying attention to Wrenpaw, so he would often sneak off just because it was ‘mischievous’ the apprentices would prank each other or dare each other, and Wrenpaw enjoyed it throughly.
Wrenpaw often had short-lived crushes throughout his apprentice days, his first, from the ages of eight to nine moons, was Slatepaw, Wrenpaw found him handsome and mysterious, which probably aren’t the only qualities you should look for in someone, but he was young and hadn’t really zoned in his tastes yet.
Unfortunately, his next two crushes, Morningpaw and Ratpaw, caused him to want to impress the both of them. This proved to be not great, as one day, while the apprentices were out training, he challenged one of the other apprentice to a tree climbing contest, about a third of the way up the tree, Wrenpaw fell, causing him to break a leg and be kept in the medicine den for three moons, delaying his Warrior ceremony for two moons.
While in the medicine den, he finally got the chance to get to know Hawktail, as she had gotten in a scarp and they bonded. Wrenpaw found Hawktail kind of grouchy, but she still showed that she cared about him in her own, begrudging way. At this point, Hornetpaw is made into Hornetfur, without her brother. At 14 moons, finally, Wrenpaw is made a Warrior, after his leg had healed up. He was given the name Wrenfeather for his ability to be quick on his paws like a bird.
Wrenfeather was extremely nervous during the time of the rogues and foxes, and barely went out alone, trying to avoid the forest as much as possible. When Foxshade got extremely injured, his fear only grew, but, when Hawktail was named deputy, it made him feel safer, it was an excuse to interact with her more, and it became increasingly more clear that Hawktail had a soft spot for him. This encourages him that perhaps he should come out of his shell a bit more and give people he wouldn’t normally talk to a chance. His siblings, Sorrelkit and Nettlekit were born when he was 24 moons. He was extremely excited to have some more siblings, and accepted them into the family accordingly. Nowadays he enjoys spending time with all of his family and meeting new cats.
