Honey that drips
From tongue
Tribe of Floating Stones
shorthair black tortoiseshell she-cat
Prey-hunter
female
40 moons
Appearance
Honey That Drips From Tongue is a willowy and fit shorthair. She is small with a tight posture that is always held upright, with elegant legs that hold her body high off the ground. Her tail seems impossibly long, almost the same length as her torso. Her strides are extended and dignified with movements that are always smooth and calculated.
Honey's tortoiseshell coat is primarily black. The orange tabby coloration underneath is shrouded such that her ginger fur appears nearly brown. There are hints of what could have been white spotting on her underside and thighs if not for the black peppering embedded between every other strand of colored fur. Her paw pads are splotched in black and pink. Neat white claws protrude slightly from their sheaths on dainty feet that are perfect for pinning small prey.
Her eyes are large, sleepy, and a very light amber. They sit on a pretty diamond-shaped face with large ears atop her head. The short whiskers that grow from her muzzle are white on her left side and black on her right. Honey's face retained youthful proportions even in adulthood, making her age deceitful.

Personality
In her youth, Honey was attentive and gifted. She had a great desire to do well for her tribe and was outwardly kind and inclusive with social skills reflective of a well-adjusted extrovert. She is well-bred and an only child, which many could readily tell through her indulgence. Her mother was a source of great pride, as she was a well-performing preyhunter and relatively well-recognized among the tribe.
She matured to be much like her, in her prime; charismatic, sophisticated, lively. A femme fatale in its fullest definition. She does well at mirroring the characteristics that would be most well-received among whoever she's with. Some may find this ingenuine but really, she's a great socialite. Her values are still held tightly to her chest; she appreciates fairness, decorum, and risk, and will rarely turn down an outing or chance for adventure.
Honey that Drips from Tongue also possesses a rather unpredictable nature. She rarely fulminates, but may turn severe and uncompromising, then back again without warning. She is many things, but a pushover is not one of them. At times it may seem she's being difficult on purpose, and perhaps she is.
Her general disposition is cool and willing, always a twinkle in her eye that seeks antic. She can be elusively manipulative without goal or meaningful intention. Her beguiling words are often spoken to remedy a dull interaction, which exists very rarely with her. Honey's full name befits her well for what many may consider a coquettish woman.
History
Honey that Drips from Tongue was born in leaf-bare of 2020 as the only kit to Snake who Strikes from Shadows and Sandpiper Who Hunts at Water's Edge. Honey was extremely well-behaved as Snake and Sandpiper's only child. She received all the attention she could ask for from both of them and rarely acted out.
Just before Honey is promoted to to-be, her mother caught the sickness that shook the tribe and nearly succumbed. Her health deteriorated at an alarming rate and she never truly recovered. Sandpiper's lungs were scarred and would not regain their full capacity. This affected her hunting, for which she was renowned, and her personality darkened. Snake grew weary of his wife's decline and was vocal about her change. Honey was caught between caring for her sickly mother and seeking the quickly-dwindling presence and support of her father. She grew resentful of him, and of Sandpiper, for her words were never as gentle and as kind as Honey remembered her.
Honey quickly became rebellious as she neared her first year. She was destined for the path of prey-hunter, like her mother, partly hoping to regain her affections by filling her pawsteps. She reveled in the attention and recognition from other adults as she lacked much acknowledgment on her successes from her family. She tended to spread herself thin between the other cats her age, older to-bes, and the prey-hunters that tutored her throughout her time as an adolescent, though always returned to socialites who were disobedient and prankish. Honey grows to be as clever as her mother and a smooth-talker like her father, and soon builds a reputation for being a bit amorous.
Snake who Strikes from Shadows is killed by the coyote attacks. Honey and Sandpiper bury him by the shady rocks of which he earned his name, next to the burrows by the coast where they made their home. Sandpiper retires to has-been, not out of age, but as her health admitted her. The loss of her father hardens Honey. There was so much potential lost in their relationship. She wished he had cared to know more about her, or had been better towards her mother. She could have made him proud. Her relationship with her mother had dwindled severely, any time spent in each other's presence Sandpiper fills with critique and conceded story-telling. Honey loses Sandpiper during the great fire evacuation and is forced to leave her behind as she flees to the neighboring islands. The smoke inhalation took a toll on her own lung health that took weeks to fully regain.
With the recent death of her parents, Honey doesn't seem very emotionally present during the leadership disorder. She is hesitant towards Sumac's usurpation of the tribe in Fog's place, but recognizes the need for some kind of leadership in his absence, as painful as it was. This hesitancy begins to wear thin very quickly as she watches the fates forced upon her friends and begins to toe the line of many strikes herself.
