SPOTTEDWING
LICHENCLAN
a blue and cream tortoiseshell with yellow eyes
warrior
she-cat
twenty moons
Appearance
Spottedwing is a she-cat of average height and build of those within LichenClan. She is mostly average in all things of appearance except for her fur, which is slightly longer than what one would deem "comfortable" within the moist caves of her home. Due to this, she looks slightly more round than she actually is until she's wet when the true physique of her body is seen underneath the wet fur. Normally, the thin-framed female would be seen standing as tall as possible, wanting to seem on the taller side of those within the group, until her fur weighs her down and she's crouched lower towards the cave floors. Due to being somewhat wet most of the time due to the living situation, Spottedwing is mostly crouched lower to the ground to help her walk a little quicker. If she cannot be tall, she has decided that she will be fast.
Spottedwing's pelt is a mix between medium and long in length, just enough to make it seem as though she's a different weight than she actually is, and is of an average thickness. It has the feathered coat of those within LichenClan, though it often appears unkempt when Spottedwing is outside of her clan's camp due to the various things within the territory getting it tangled throughout the day. Her fur thins out around the mid section of the legs and onwards down to her paws, due to slight overgrooming to avoid the discomfort of twigs getting stuck within the fur there.
Spottedwing has a round face and round yellow eyes to match. Her face is not symmetrical, sporting mainly cream on her right side and some blue on the left, though she sports all colors of her pelt on both sides. The parts around her muzzle are white, and her ears are of average height. Her nose is a tannish-pink color with light spots of grey down the middle. The whiskers along her cheeks and eyebrows are of medium length, and are straight, slightly drooping down towards the edges.

Personality
Although not antisocial, Spottedwing prefers to be in the company of her own thoughts. The rare exception to this would be when she is with family or very close friends. She will never approach another cat, but if one were to approach her to speak she will often use shorter words to communicate with them unless they are closer to her, in which she will speak in soft whispers in longer sentences. Although she is not very good at hiding it, the she-cat does not want other cats knowing that she holds full conversations with some of the cats within her clan. She doesn't enjoy doing it, and doesn't want to have meaningless conversations with cats that she doesn't know too well.
Despite not speaking to many of the cats within LichenClan, she does try to keep tabs on those within it. She is more of a listener than a talker, and will try to listen to the conversations of those around her discretely. Although it doesn't work all the time without her getting caught, she likes to think she is fairly decent at acting as though she's uninterested in whatever is going on around her. Any information she thinks could be useful to her she will keep in mind, trying to remember it the best she can, while things that she deems uninteresting or useless to her she will immediately forget. Sometimes she does deem the wrong things uninteresting, and does suffer from that, however, causing her to seem forgetful or overly rude.
Spottedwing, however, does respect authority, and tries her best to be nice with those in power. She wants to one day have that power for herself as well, thinking she would do well as a deputy - or even leader one day - so she tries her best to befriend those she thinks could get her there one day. She does form some genuine friendships - at least, genuine to her - though there are some friends here and there that are nothing to her but a means to an end.
Although she doesn't speak to many within the clan, and pretends to listen often, when there is something that she has to do, or something that she needs to listen to, Spottedwing is dependable. She will try her best to get something done when it's asked of her, and will often volunteer for things that she believes she is able to do. She is prideful of the things she is good at, and although she won't admit she is bad at something, she will offer other suggestions to who could take her place in a situation in which she wouldn't be good in, though she uses her words carefully in those situations to make it seem as though she isn't weak in that field.
History
Born during leaf-bare with her sibling Batkit, Spottedwing - Spottedkit at the time - had an interesting first few months of her life. Spottedkit and Batkit had both been named after their appearances, while Spottedkit had been named after the color and pattern of her fur, Batkit had been named after her large ears and darker colored fur. As children, the two were inseparable, always playing together and distracting themselves from the things going on outside the nursery for as long as possible.
When she became an apprentice alongside her sister, Spottedpaw had been excited, though hadn't expected the long days of training to be so long. At first, she had wanted to just train here and there, so that she would have time to play with her littermate and talk to her mother, though that quickly got put to a stop as the fighting grew more and eventually Spottedwing lost both her mother and sister, and the formerly bubbly apprentice dedicated her time to take training more seriously. Heartbroken at her family's death, she decided that she wasn't going to die in battle like them, and would instead make sure that everyone she went against lost, whether it be a retreat or death. She wasn't going to be weak, she couldn't be if she wanted to make sure LichenClan was the best.
When she became a warrior, Spottedpaw was given "Wing" as a suffix due to her speed, the main thing Spottedwing knew she excelled at. She had been proud when she had been given the name, but soon after during the battle between LichenClan and RedwoodClan, she had realized that her speed wasn't enough when LichenClan lost. She blamed herself partially for the loss, so when she with the rest of the warriors in the clan had been punished, the young warrior hadn't thought much of it, simply taking the punishment as it was given, feeling as though it was deserved.
As tensions rose and things pressed onwards, Spottedwing found herself questioning why LichenClan needed the help of rouges to fight their battles, especially since her role was to stay within camp to help protect those too young to fight. She was apprehensive at first, and untrusting of the unfamiliar cats, but eventually grew used to them. Although she does not think fondly of them, she often finds herself no longer questioning why they were there, just glad that it gave her more time to practice training. When ThistleClan began to join the war, Spottedwing had paid them no mind, choosing to ignore them as best she could until she decided if they were a threat or not yet, up to this point she has been indifferent towards the cats within the neighboring clan.
She remained loyal to LichenClan, and vowed to make herself stronger. Since they had been punished, the female has trained every day she was able to, often volunteering for patrols where she could, often overworking herself in the areas that she knew she was good at.
Up to this point, to Spottedwing's disappointment, she has yet to receive an apprentice within the clan. She knows that one day her time will come to teach another cat the things that she knows, and she hopes that that day comes soon.
