Whisker of
SNOW White Hare
Tribe of Floating Stones
silver spotted tabby she-cat with pale green eyes.
prey-hunter fledgling
cisgender female
(she/her)
(she/her)
twelve moons
Appearance
Being of average height and build, Whisker has not yet shown any physical likeness to follow in either of her parent’s pawsteps. As she ages, she will grow into a sleek and streamlined build, with small paws and a whiplike tail. Through an early-acquired taste for adventure, Whisker will eventually come to possess a more lithe build in due time.
Whisker of Snow White Hare humbly wears her mother’s same pelt and markings. Short, silky and swathed in stripes and spots. Silver slashed with soot. In many ways, even now, Whisker resembles a mini-me of her mother, that is, if Rain were not nearly so shy and well-kept. As a young kit, Whisker often appears a bit scruffy and a little feral-looking after she returns from playing with her siblings.
Her face mirrors Rain’s, geometric and striped, but where her mother’s slopes into flattering chiseled shapes and softened angles, Whisker’s face will hold a more esoteric, wild look. Her large eyes lined with black rings, the stripes sharper and darker. Her ears large and tall, like Dusk’s. Whisker will grow into a look with a bit more ferocity, only dampened by her wide smile and friendly voice. With green eyes so pale that the right light dapples them a champagne-y yellow, Whisker is joined by Tooth out of their littermates in this way. Apart from this, she stands out amidst the others with their swishing, eventide pelts.
Whisker’s voice is squeaky and high-pitched, as if she is always asking a question. She smells faintly of milk and moss, as does any young kit, and the wildflowers she frolics in frequently.

Personality
+ ditzy, mild-mannered, family-orientated
- indecisive, stubborn, unassertive
Whisker of Snow White Hare takes primarily after Rain, being exceptionally lost in thought and often oblivious to the things going on around her. Raised by her parents, she is a blend of their parenting styles. Whisker is meek and often conflicted when presented with too many choices, but at the same time, has a stubborn streak that neither parent expected, but perhaps given Dusk’s breezier nature, should’ve. Whisker scampers around after her siblings, being a very vocal follower rather than a leader of any kind. This unassertiveness combined with an already ditzy demeanor means she is more likely to be the unknowing victim in a conflict rather than being the mediator or perpetrator. Whisker is usually too oblivious to have even noticed and when it is eventually pointed out to her, she is quick to shrug it off. Whisker is polite and easygoing and spends her time with her kin, after all, both Rain and Dusk instilled a high emphasis on family early on, and so she is usually found tailing one or more of her siblings. Unlike other young cats, she does not feel any envy at seeing her siblings spend more time with their parents, Whisker simply doesn’t have the mindset to see it that way. She is an eternally optimistic kind of cat. When it comes to her future, just how indecisive she can be really jumps out. Some days she wants nothing more than to follow in Dusk’s footsteps and become a prey-hunter and some days, she’s under the paws of Talon or Hawk, peppering them with questions which might imply an interest in becoming a stone-guard. Whatever she does decide, she sticks with. Whisker struggles when it comes to changing her mind from her initial impressions or assumptions and likely will until early fledgling-hood. Whisker will believe her parents are the pinnacles of true love and good-hearted, pure cats. She will think nothing short of the world of them, unable to believe they could ever be anything other than perfect.

History
Dusk that Chases the Day and Rain that Falls in Morning’s love flourished in the ache of hunger and grief and pain and worry. The moorlands, flushed with New-Leaf, radiated hope and joy despite the moons and moons in which time had passed with the warmth of spring coming and going and no new blood within the tribe, for, at long last, there was to be. Within the swelling of Rain’s spotted silver flanks, bore said hope, alongside her to-be brood.
With little regard for it, four kits were borne one night to the pair, forcing the tensions surrounding them to part for their arrival. Perfectly blended of both Rain and Dusk’s traits, the four new kits were welcomed, wealthy in stamina, vigor and fettle. Claw, then Whisker, then Scream and finally Tooth, destined to never yearn nor want for anything under the attentive and loving rearing of their parents.
It is under the blood red moon that she and Scream find themselves, utterly entranced by the mystique of it. They decide it must be an omen and frightfully return to the den and Rain’s side. The next moon, the omen proved to be not just of their imaginations. A fire breaks loose and wreaks havoc across the island, Rain and Dusk’s family hardly escaping before their den erupted into flames. The family escapes to Stone where Leaves Fall. During their time there, Whisker aids Hemlock in collecting rocks and shells, finding a silver lining in the misery.
Upon her sixth moon, Whisker joined her siblings as to-bes of the tribe. Seeking to put the trauma of the fire behind her, she eagerly throws herself into her new responsibilities. Unsure yet of which path she wanted to take, she sought training from both the likes of established prey-hunters and stone-guards, even managing to find guidance in Sumac. It is also during her early to-be moons that she seeks out the wisdom of Song, in the most confusing and enigmatic new experience of all: crushes. Whisker finds herself drawn to fellow to-bes, Melody and Sparrow, but chalks it up to their respective talents and personalities…
