Briarpaw
lichenclan
marbled brown and white tabby with amber eyes
medicine cat ap.
she-cat
16 moons

Appearance
Briarpaw is fairly small, even accounting for her young age. She is lean and lightly muscled. Her limbs are long, legs making her tall and tail making her elegant. Keep in mind that "tall" for her still has her standing just below the shoulders of her like-aged Clamates. Her paws are small and round with delicate pink skin on the pads. Her pelt is a mixture of colors, predominantly brown with large swirls and patches of black tabby stripe. The marbling of her stripes is thick enough that her tail is mostly black with a few patches of gray/brown. There is white that goes halfway up her back legs, but only as far as her toes on her front legs. There is a dash of white on her belly and it comes up again as a bib on her chest, throat, chin, muzzle and going up between her eyes. She is apple headed with large ears for her head right on top Her nose is pink and petite. Large eyes give her an innocent, sweet appearance, maybe even making her appear naive to those that judge a book by its cover. They are a deep amber, very warm in the sunlight.
Personality
Smart, clever, witty. What other words would you use to describe a medicine cat's apprentice? She always has an answer for everything, even if that answer in "I don't know, let me find out." She is eager to learn and wants to soak up any medical knowledge that she is able to. Headstrong and determined, once she sets her mind to something, she will do whatever it takes for her to accomplish her task. This stubborn streak runs deep and drives her to try and perfect every skill and accomplish every goal. Pairing poorly with her determination is her impatience. She won't give up, but can become quickly frustrated if her efforts don't bear fruit fast enough.
She is deeply spiritual which one would expect of a LIchenClan cat. But being a medicine cat apprentice, it's different. She's met StarClan. Spoken with them. She knows them and she knows they aren't like Minnowstar says. She knows she is in a position where she can one day change the minds of her Clanmates, but (unforunately for her limited patience) she also knows she needs to keep her beliefs a secret for the time being. She doesn't agree with Minnowstar's warmongering in the name of faith. As a result of her differing faith, she is defensive and paranoid. She knows that if she is found out, she's done for. She is very careful about what she says and how she says it and she knows how to act so that her mentor and leader aren't suspicious. But if she feels like anyone is asking weird questions, she shuts down and finds any excuse to leave. This applies to anything too. She doesn't like it when cats question her abilities or actions and often defends herself with sharp words and dismissal.

History
Briarkit was born to a pious pair of warrior. They raised her carefully and always made sure that she knew StarClan and their power. Bedtime stories in her family were always about their warrior ancestors and the wrath they would bring on her head if she was unfaithful. She would listen with wide eyes, awed that there could be a force as powerful as her parents wanted her to believe. She would go around as she grew, soaking up all of the stories she could about StarClan. As she began to form her own opinion on the mystical group of cats in the sky, she began to wonder if they were really as vengeful and strict as everyone seemed to think. She quickly discovered that the best resource for learning about StarClan was to talk to Cinderface.
Close to her sixth moon, she was going to see the medicine cat. Halfway across the camp, her vision went dark. Panicked that she had been stricken blind for misbehavior, she almost cried out, but there was something that kept her quiet. The entrance to the medicine den illuminated while everything else was still dark and Briarkit stared. She was suddenly aware of cats whispering around her, frustratingly quiet so that she couldn't make out what they said. Tentatively, she crept closer to the den, the only thing she could see in a sea of darkness. Then, all of a sudden, the whispers stopped and in the silence a voice sounded right in her ear, soft, but unmistakably clear. "Join us." And then the camp was as it was before. Lit, bustling with the activities of her Clanmates. She raced to Cinderface's den to tell her what she had experienced. After some deliberation with Minnowstar, it was decided that Briarkit had experienced a call to duty from StarClan themselves. And just a few days later, she began her training with Cinderface as the medicine cat apprentice.
