Mumblesong
LichenClan
Gray and white she-cat with golden eyes
warrior
female
21 moons
Appearance
Mumblesong is on the smaller and leaner side when it comes to her build. The she-cat might look like someone who would be easy to take down in a fight, but she can be a rather difficult foe to catch. Without sheer muscle power, she relies on her speed and agility. With quick movements, she can easily dodge a few hits and with some smaller, well landed strikes she can tip her opponent out of balance. Making her not a feared, but a slightly troublesome enemy on the battlefield.
Mumblesong possess a short, but thick coat, that's smooth and silky to the touch. Her backside and top of her head has the darker gray color with a little bluish hue to it. Her tail, which is just a little shorter than avarage, is gray as well. Her legs, throat, belly chin are soft white. On the back of her head and nape, she has a white stripe that reaches from one side of her throat to the other one, dividing the gray fur on her head and neck. On her left front leg, she has a smaller gray patch, and although her muzzle is mostly white as well, the gray reaches down on her left side of it into another patch. Her nosebridge is also gray, which towards the end, just like her ears, becomes a little darker.
The young she-cat has a more oval like head with a slightly bigger muzzle and big round ears. Her expression seems to be stuck in a somewhat alerted expression, her golden eyes wide and always on the look for something dangerous. Like a frightened doe. Other than that, she has a preety face. Not too beatufil, just a bit above avarage. An old scar runs down on her head, which she got when she was an apprentice.

Personality
Loyal: Mublesong would choose her family and clan above all else. Although her loyalty to the latter is based on fear, she would still do anything for her home. If she puts her trust in you, you'll earn a friend for life, who will never betray you or let you down. But when it comes to choosing between her family and her clan, Mumble is no longer so sure what would she choose. Her heart would whisper to her brain, to stick with her loved ones, but those sweet words might be unable to reach through that iron veil of fear that surrounds her mind. The fear of StarClan's judgement might be too strong for her to fight against.
Hard-working: The gray and white molly appears to be always busy. She is among the first to volunteer for a patrol, and she likes to spend her free time with patching up the camp if needed. She likes to joke to herself about how her name should have been Antmumble, given how diligent she is. She likes to keep herself busy. Working on a renovation project, walking through the territory, cleaning the camp... To her all of these activities are relaxing.Because while she works she is left alone and not put into an uncomfortable situation. Plus people say StarClan appreciates hard working paws.
Introverted: Mumble prefers to keep things to herself and to spend her time alone. She is there, when an important clan event is happening, but even then she just stands in the corner. To others it seems like the she-cat is not interested in interacting with others, which to a certain extent is true, but even Mumble likes to have a nice little chat from time to time. She usually doesn't start the conversation, and others don't seem to be interested in her. Which is why she indulges in conversations with herself.Bu if someone actually puts effort into getting to know her, then they find out just how caring and kind the she-cat is. Mumble is full of creative ideas, which she would like to share, but so far nobody seems to be interested in her toughts. Which is fine as well.
Socially awkward: To others the white and gray molly may come off as weird and paranoid.Ever since her accident, Mumble has buried herself under a lot of work to prove herself to her clan and her ancestors. Which is why there was no time for her to improve her social skills. There is no problem with being formal, but a friendly discussion does test her abilities.
Anxious: Mumblesong constantly feels like she's being watched by prying eyes.Like as if her clanmates and the spirits of past warriors were circling around her head like vultures, ready to strike at any sign of weakness. Even when she is working alone she tends to peek over her shoulder just to make sure nobody is staring at her. If she slips up she waits for those vultures to dive down and punish her for it, and when nothing happens she just becomes even more anxious. She tries to avoid situations where she could be accused of sinning and tries to fade into the background as a result.
History
Mumblekit was born to Mantisflame and Viceroybite, two respected and mated warrior of LichenClan. Just like any other kit, Mumblekit spent most of her kithood playing games with her siblings, Splashkit and Flutterkit, causing some minor mischief and sleeping by her mother's side. Even at a young age, Mumble always listened to the stories and legends of StarClan with awe but also with some scepticism. These were very fun stories indeed, but she couldn't understand why or how could cats, who were not even actually there influence any event. In her opinion they were just stories and nothing more.
When she became an apprentice Mumblepaw was full of hopes and ambition. She wanted to be the best of the best, just like any other apprentice. Making her parents and mentor proud was the most important thing in her eyes, and she worked very hard to earn their approval. And she did it. They noticed her hard work and she got her deserved praise for it, but her radical believes still caused some disagreement. She didn't agree with her clans beliefs of sin and the treatment of sinners and she was willing to be vocal about this fact. This has gotten to the point where she questioned if StarClan even existed. This lead to a rather heated argument with her mentor, which ended with her leaving training to calm down a little. If StarClan would be real, they wouldn't let us treat those cats like this. As soon as this sentence left her mouth, the rock she was standing on gave out and she fell. Hard. For a split second she felt a sharp pain on her head and she blacked out.
In her coma like state, she was tormented with nightmares about her family disowning her, and StarClan judging her for her lack of faith. The images of her family's disappointed glare and the sound her ancestors furious cry was something she would never forget.
She woke up feeling like as if her head was split in half. She was found and brought back to camp by her clanmates. She was shaking after this experience, completely believing that those dreams and her injury were a warning from StarClan. Just like the fall left a permanent scar, the memories of those nightmares left a permanent mark in her mind.
When she returned to her apprentice duties she became anxius. She was afraid that if she does or says something wrong again, those dreams would come true. So she just worked. Silently without any complaint. She thought with hard work she could get back on StarClan's good side. This came at a cost. She didn't socialise as much as she used to, and her social skills slowly withered away. Small talks quickly became awkward and Mumble learned to appreciate the solitude and silence.
Her past self would rais a voice against Minnowstar's actions, but the introverted she-cat now just looks the other way and pretends everything is fine. Like the ember of a wildfire, her once rebellious thoughts light up from time to time, but Mumblesong just shakes her head and continues on. She already doubted StarClan once and her punishment was... Very memorable. She learned her lesson. If StarClan wouldn't want Minnowstar to lead, then they would do something. She is sure all the things her leader and her clanmates did was StarClan's wish. It has to be.
