Long haired brown pointed tom with blue eyes
warrior
Tom
52 moons
Appearance
As a fluffy brown kit, Owlkit earned his name from his resemblance to an owlet. These days, his name still fits, but he has grown large and his fur darkened to resemble a full grown owl. Owlfang's head is round. He has wide-set ears and larger features, including large, round eyes, reminiscent of his namesake. Blue eyes peer out from a dark face and contrast starkly with his brown fur. His muzzle is wide and his whiskers are long. The skin on his nose is the same dark brown as the fur on his face.
Owlfang’s pelt is long and silky without being so thick that navigating the forest would become difficult.. It gives him warmth in the cold moons at the cost of being somewhat difficult to keep tidy. The long strands are like a magnet for burrs, dust and debris. He is a soft, milky brown over much of his body which darkens on his face, ears, legs and tail. He has a dash of white on his chest which is the only thing that breaks the otherwise solid brown.
He is heavier and taller than the average male for his Clan, but in a Clan of smaller statured warriors, what does that really say? His pelt adds some illusion to his size, but only some as it does lack thickness. He has large paws with long tufts of fur between his toes. He is broad shouldered, well muscled and boasts nicked ears and a pelt full of scars, though they can be difficult to see beneath the long brown fur. Due to his weight and size, he finds feats of agility difficult to pull off.

Personality
Loyal | Brave | Proud | Suspicious | Distant
Owlfang is loyal. What warrior wouldn't be? ThistleClan and its best interests are always at the front of his mind. He holds that standard to all of his Clanmates. He sees no room for any disloyalty. He is not shy about hiding disappointment when a cat doesn’t live up to his lofty standards and has been known to be quite stingy with his praise. It’s driven his apprentices mad from time to time. He wants to be more openly affectionate with the cats he is close to, but isn’t sure how to go about it as he is worried about showing weakness. Whenever he tries to connect with a Clanmate, whether it is an apprentice or simply a fellow warrior, he feels that he always comes off as awkward. He has never been known to back down from a challenge whether real or conjured up by his sensitive pride. He is very protective of his Clanmates, especially the younger members. Outside of ThistleClan, he is suspicious and untrusting. As far as he is concerned, an outsider is just as likely to claw your face as they would be to say hello.

History
Owlkit was born as a single kit to parents Hazelthorn and Stoatfur. His parents were all well and good, but he yearned for connections to kits his own age. Unfortunately for him, there just weren't that many other kits in the Clan as he was growing up. He would pad around after the apprentices, reacting poorly with hisses and hurt feelings when they would tell him to get lost. Without other young cats to pal around with, Owlkit developed social skills that were just slightly wrong. He found starting conversations difficult, handled compliments awkwardly and just generally found it easier to keep everyone at a bit of a distance. As an apprentice, he had a few friends, but he considered them rather superficial. He continued to keep mostly to himself and just focus on his training. Even if he found communicating uncomfortable, he would still be an asset to ThistleClan. As he became more confident in his abilities, Owlpaw would always volunteer for missions that involved defending the territory from foxes, badgers or other cats. Being able to show off his fighting prowess as he did eventually earned him the warrior name Owlfang.
As a young warrior, Owlfang was relatively popular. He was a good warrior, a reliable fighter and a skilled hunter, but he still didn't have anyone that he would call a close friend. It was comfortable for him to be liked by his Clanmates while not having to worry about letting any cat too close.
But that would have to change as he was given an apprentice, a young tom named Crowpaw. He discovered after having a cat assigned to be at his side at almost all times that he actually yearned for connection. He wanted badly for Crowpaw to like him and to look up to him. His apprentice was an easy going young tom, but Owlfang still found it hard to be anything but strict and businesslike with him. Any other apprentice might have lost their temper with him, but Crowpaw seemed to know that Owlfang was trying. The apprenticeship was a rocky one, though, and Owlfang felt the whole time like he was letting Crowpaw down. He would often realize far after the fact that he had forgotten to point out and praise something the apprentice had done well and the few times he had remembered, he had said something mousebrained like "Hey you stalked that mouse well," or "You could probably win with that move". Even though Crowpaw is a warrior now, he is still trying to improve his relationship with his Clanmates.
