Deercloud snorted as a small snowflake landed on his nose. There is nothing he liked more than walking aimlessly, especially at night. It was quiet, and he didn't have to worry about doing something wrong. Even though it could be dangerous, the thought had rarely ever crossed his mind. He liked the thought of being away from everyone, even for just a bit. He looked up in the sky, only just then noticing how abnormal it looked. Has it always looked like this? He continued walking as he stared, almost entranced. "Maybe Starclan finally decided to show up." He whispered to himself, chuckling at his own joke. He couldn't help but notice just how beautiful it was. He almost wanted to reach out and touch it. If only... He hadn't even realized how close he was to the border. He was too focused on the sight in front of him. The small warrior stood on his hind legs, his paws reaching out above him. He flexed his claws, as if he would be able to reach the mysterious lights any easier. He flinched when another flake of snow landed on his paws, making him break his concentration. His eyes flicked to the side, catching a pair of yellow eyes piercing straight through him. The silhouette was large; very large. The small tom fell backwards out of shock, kicking snow up all over his pelt, and in his eyes. He pushed himself up with all of his strength, and started running. He couldn't see where he was going, but he knew he needed to get away. He was running a little too fast though, and tripped over a large rock that was buried in the snow. "UMPH!" He fell forward, face first into more snow. ★ faionce you start asking questions, innocence is gone

It was his first day out as a warrior, Wolfpelt had gotten his new name which means he'd finally joined the ranks as a Redwoodclan warrior. Wolfpelt knew this was both good and bad, sure he got more freedom, respect, and had the right to choose his own path but the war between Lichenclan was looming, like a terrible storm. He wasn't sure what he could do, he seemed to lack the pashion and hate his clanmates seemed to hold against their rival clan. Sure, he didn't LIKE Minnowstar, he even dispised her, but the thought of hurting cats he didn't even know, just because they had too? It made his stomach churn. Thats why Wolfpelt was out here, the looming threats and tension rising in his clan made his fur crawl. He needed to take a break, look at the moon. Truely night was when he felt most safe, most comfortable. The moon had always been a guide to him, like he was really being watched and protected. What the young warrior hadn't expected was the the beutiful lights that danced across the sky. Wolfpelt was entranced, never had he seen something so beutiful. He moved to get closer, before spotting a stranger, a tom looking at the lights as well. Wolfpelt didn't move, unsure of what to do now. The tom smelled of Lichenclan, but he was still on his side of the border. He seemed just as awe struck as he had at the lights. He'd just wait till the other cat left! But it wasn't that easy. The tom and him made eye contact, both growing tense. For a horrible moment he was worried that he'd attack him ,but instead he fell backwards. Wolfpelt stepped out of the shadows as the tom ran, fur bushed out in terror. He didn't make it far though, the little tom hit something and tumbled down, face planting in the cold snow. 'Uh oh-' Wolfpelt leaped to his paws and raced down toward the tom. "Oh no! Are you hurt?" Wolfpelt asked, searching him for any cuts or injuries. "I'm so sorry I scared you! I didn't- I didn't mean for you to get hurt!" Wolfpelt's stomach twisted with guilt. "Here let me help you up!" tags: Fenestra, notes: |

Deercloud could hear heavy pawsteps rushing toward him, and this frightened him even more. He didn't want to fight. It wasn't in his nature, and he was sure that the larger tom could easily end him. He tried standing again, but his legs wouldn't move anymore. He was paralyzed with fear, exhaustion, and something else he couldn't quite understand. Was it curiosity? He had never seen a cat quite this physically impressive before, much less up close. Just get it over with.Deerclouds thoughts spoke louder than he ever could. Sometimes he wondered if other cats could hear his thoughts. Just make it quick. He took in a deep breath, the cold of the air making his lungs feel like ice. He breathed out, watching the steam float up. He fixed his eyes back on the pretty lights in the sky as he heard the toms paws step closer. I'm just glad I get to see something so beautiful. Thank you, Starcla- "Oh no! Are you hurt?" Deercloud blinked, and slowly looked at the other tom. He was upside down, but the tabby could tell he was still very big. He also noticed that despite what he had previously thought, this tom looked genuinely concerned about him. Are all Redwoodclan cats like this? He had never given much thought about how cats in other clans acted, besides from things he had heard. He was beginning to realize more and more that he shouldn't believe everything he is told. Deercloud coughed as this cat helped him up, the snow clinging to his pelt as he sat up. "I-I'm not too hurt." He meowed, self consciously licking at the fur on his chest. "It was my fault anyway, I shouldn't have assumed the worst." He smiled, letting the other tom know that he was okay. He stumbled as he tried to walk to the other side of the tom, wincing at the pain in his paws. He sat back down beside him before he spoke again. "Thank you for helping me up. At least the sky looked pretty while I was down there! He chuckled at his attempt at a joke. "Whats your name?"★ faionce you start asking questions, innocence is gone
