Honeybun
Celandine
Snow rosetted tabby with bright blue eyes
commander
Male
42
Appearance
Honeybun is fully grown and it shows. He’s beef and muscle. While he may be under average height, his dense and large body makes him intimidating all the same. He weighs a bit more than the average cat and eats a lot when there’s prey to spare. Small scratches and scars give away his love for fighting, but he has yet to get any major scars.
His pelt is as sweet as his name. On a snowy background, he’s got unique rosette spots and tabby stripes. His entire family has the same bold tabby stripes and spots and it’s easy to tell that they are related. When fighting him, the first thing you would notice is how soft he is. His fur is delicate velvet to the touch, cuddling him feels like cuddling clouds, and cutting through it is like butter. Although Honeybun is a bit bothered by this, he enjoys taking advantage of the confusion.
Honeybun’s face, unlike his body, is not at all intimidating. He’s got a bit of extra fat to his checks which makes his face look soft and round. When he smiles, his tabby stripes make it look large and wide. If you can overlook his pure buffness, Honeybun is quite cute.
His tail is a little odd. He's got a bob tail that looks like a little ball on his butt.

Personality
He’s a little stupid and really should think things through more. Despite being observant, Honeybun can’t pick up easily on social cues or hidden intent. That’s never been an issue before. He’s a trooper and takes orders easily. He doesn’t need to be smart to fight anyways. In line with that, he’s rather single-minded. Once he puts his mind to doing something, he’ll get it done. No. Matter. What. This can make him reliable, but also a little frustrating.
Honeybun is an aggressive boy. He found his passion in the battle training his mother put him through and loves the adrenaline pumping and heart-racing combat brings. Unbeknownst to his mother, he’s started running into rogues and loners and challenging them to fights. It’s not odd for him to come home bloody. At first, he would wince at pain, but by now he’s built up a tolerance for it and won’t stop fighting till he’s knocked out.
He is loyal. He won’t let a good deed go. If anyone does anything for him, he’s determined to pay the favour back. This is why he sticks by his mother’s side despite growing more and more discontent. She raised him and taught him, so Honeybun feels obligated to stick around and make sure she stays alright. His knightly attitude is one of the few things he took from his mother’s stories about clan cats.
Honeybun is anger. While he will reward a good deed, he won’t forget any slights against him. He holds grudges, forever. When a cat gets on his bad side, it won’t be easy for Honeybun to forgive them. It’ll take a lot of grovelling.
History
2020
Honeybun was never a clan cat, but his life makes it seem like he was. Born and raised under strict, clan-like morals and rules, Honeybun lives as a clan cat would. His mother, Raindrop, seems like a strange cat obsessed with clan culture and customs. But there’s a method to her madness. Having once been a LichenClan warrior, Raindrop had an accident and now her clan thinks she is dead, and she can’t remember those she left behind. Strangely she felt names with two words were right and dubbed herself Raindrop and her kits Honeybun and Sugarplum. They were the sweetest children she raised. But things in their family wouldn’t stay peaceful for long. As Honeybun grew up, his mother started to behave oddly. She imposed weird rules and morals on their family, and her strange behaviour drove their family apart. Despite his mother’s strangeness, Honeybun learned a lot from her. Raindrop was always talented at hunting and knew different techniques for different prey. The battle techniques she taught him and his sister were structured and gave Honeybun a strong foundation. It was always a wonder how she knew these things. Honeybun, now old enough to take care of himself, has started to go out on his own for long periods. From meeting other rogues, he’s learned about clans and is curious about their way of life. The rumours he’s heard are very familiar, and Honeybun has a bad feeling that they have something to do with his mother’s strange lessons. For now, he still comes home every night to watch over his mother. But Honeybun sees his sister being independent and living on her own and wonders if that’s what he’s meant to do.
2022
Honeybun runs into a rogue facing off against two LichenClan cats, and he joins in, escaping with the stranger. This tom offers him something he can't refuse: a group of other rogues who know how to fight. Honeybun takes him up on the offer and joins Lily's gang of rogues. He quickly makes friends with Lily's daughter Poppy and starts following her around everywhere. He spends longer and longer stretches of time away from home and his mother, and eventually starts living with Lily's rogues full-time. He convinces Sugarplum to join, but she doesn't fit in well with the other rogues. Unbeknownst to Honeybun, Sugarplum left their mother to die in a cave.
Still a part of the rogues, Honeybun sneaks off during the blood moon and runs into a crying ThistleClan she-cat. They meet a second time, but she never shows up again. Their one night together resulted in kits, four little ones who are raised in ThistleClan under a pretend father. Snailkit, Sandykit, Slushkit and Streamkit were their names, but Honeybun is nonethewiser.
2023
2023Lily's rogues get separated in the chaos of the fighting. After dealing with his opponents, Honeybun chases after Poppy but loses her. Moons later, he finds her in the middle of a blizzard and shyly confesses his feelings for her. He promises to himself to always stand by her side and follows Poppy as she forms Celandine. After a flood washes a pawful of clan cats on their shore, Honeybun discovers two apprentices and brings them home. They were Snailpaw and Slushpaw, the kits he never knew he had. He’s happy to have Slushpaw stay behind and live under her new name Sleek. He starts to teach her how to fight like a rogue. But he struggles with being a proper parent. He only knows how to be the fun dad. Snailpaw sneaks out and escapes back home. Honeybun tries to chase him down, but Snailpaw along with another apprentice disappear into the flood waters.
As she secures more members, Poppy creates a few key positions to help her control the pack of rogues. Alongside his sister, Honeybun is named her commander. He takes charge of the rogues and teaches them how to fight a clan cat. And when Poppy asks him to teach the rogues to hunt, he does that too. He’s her ever-obedient servant. Though he’s starting to get jealous of her various lovers. Perhaps he needs someone of his own to keep him distracted.
2024
Honeybun settles down for the winter, taking shelter at the cabin and doing his best to keep the rogues fed and alive. But he can’t help the itch in his paws. He craves more fighting and can only stay so long cooped up in a den.
