Lilac that Blossoms
after Rainfall
Tribe of Floating Stones
long haired gray faded tabby with brilliant green eyes
stone-guard
pan she-cat
thirty-six moons
Appearance
Lilac is very masculine in her build. She's large and sturdy. Being a large cat, she comes in at twelve inches at just the shoulder. Lilac averages 12.5 pounds, but it depends on the season and how much she eats. Her dense coat really packs on the ounces during the colder months. As a stone-guard, she has bulky muscle. However, it is usable muscle and not at all for show. As much as she hates it, she builds muscles like her father rather than the sleek muscles of her mother.
Lilac is a hard cat to miss unless she's standing against a boulder or wall of gray rock. She has a beautiful silver-gray coat with hints of tabby markings on her forehead. Her back is a slightly darker silver-gray which gets lighter as it moves to her stomach. Lilac's coat is thick and long. She usually leaves clumps of gray fur throughout the territory when she goes on patrols. Though she has tabby genes, her forehead is the only inkling that she carries this. There is a small bit of white on her chin and muzzle, but no where else on her body; besides the white strands of loose, dead fur she has on her.
Her head looks a little small for her body. Her skull is more diamond shaped than round as well. She has a very thick looking muzzle and it is medium in length. Lilac's whiskers are a bright white. Lilac's nose attempts to hide among her fur as it's a gray tinged pink. Like saucers, the eyes are round and encircled in a thin line of black. They are a bright green, almost pastel in color. They do change with her mood via how light or dark they appear.

Personality
The most obvious thing about this stone-guard is that she is one of the nicest cats that exists. It is almost as if she just doesn't understand how to be mean. Sure, she can crack a joke, get defensive, or wake up on the wrong side of the nest. She would never outright say any malicious to another cat. In fact if she hears another cat say something rude or mean about another, Lilac would most likely go into mom mode and scold whoever it was. She abhors any unkind acts or words. With that being said, she also loves to goof around and just be plain silly.
Lilac loves family and all things that go along with it. Recently, it has been a sore subject with her. After keeping her attraction to South quiet around her family, it was time for it to be known. They, of course, yelled and told her to end any attraction. Which then caused tensions and eventually silence. Among her family it was forbidden to take a mate outside the stone-guards. She now considers South family. While doubtful of her ability to leave her own family and not want their pride, she still longs for the day that they see what she sees in South. To expand on family, Lilac wants her own one day. If you asked her, she already wished she had a little one(or two or three) to love and raise. Not to have them bound by her family's rules.
This stone-guard is noticeably wise beyond her moons. She loves being the one to come to when others need advice. It gives her a chance to connect with a cat and see the personality. While she believes every cat has a bit of beautiful, South's entire being is majestic. It was the one time she was stuck on what to say when usually she is eloquent with her words.
Even with her wisdom, she is noticeably naive regarding everyday life. Connected to this naivety, is her impulsiveness. If she wants to jump into the water from a great height, she isn't thinking about the consequences or the outcome for herself. Fun very much over rides any self preservation that other cats would usually think about. Lilac takes her words serious and her actions like she's still in the nest with her parents. Actions shouldn't have consequences in her mind. Responsible isn't something that any cat would describe her as being.
Although she had always been anxious as a kitten, it became more noticeable once she started falling for South. She constantly worries about her safety. Not just her safety either. Even though her family hates her now, she still thinks of all the scenarios that could make things change. It takes a lot of mental preparation to not feel this way constantly. It has gotten better with the help of South, but it is still something she has to cope with on a daily basis. When her anxiety isn't in an intense state, Lilac is super optimistic. On good days, nothing can go wrong. Even if something does, she'll try to spin it in a way that shows the bright side.
Like her job states, this she-cat is very protective. The only time she would unsheathe her claws is if any cat in her tribe needed protection. Lilac is vicious when needed in these scenarios. She hesitates now to help her family in order to distance herself from their harsh tongues. South is the one cat she would spill anyone's blood for; which she had made this clear to her family. She does find herself inserting herself into fights occasionally, which annoys the parties involved.
History
Lilac was a miracle kit born to Gray on a Stone's Edge(Gray) and Silver Lines in a Stream(Silver) at the beginning of New-Leaf that year. They had been trying for more moons than they could count to bring a child into the world. It was frustrating for them and they were going to stop until Silver realized she was with kits. Her mother hardly did anything with worries that she would lose the pregnancy like she had when she was younger.
Lilac was everything both parents wanted in a kit; energetic, caring, and lively. They were so worried she wouldn't be born or that she'd be born with problems based on the lack of kits for thirty moons. Silver was 42 moons when she had her. Lilac's kithood was lonely. Though she had others her age and older to play with, she longed for a cat that made her feel normal.
By the time green-leaf hit, it was time for Lilac to become a to-be. Her first two moons as a to-be was even more lonely. It wasn't as if she couldn't make friends, but no one had stuck by her side. It was as if there were better cats to be around. By the time she turned eight moons old, the next litter of kits was made into to-bes. There was one specific cat that caught her attention; South. The small white kit, with her siblings, looked like they knew how to be as a family. With her own family, she often felt smothered by her parents, uncle(Piece of Gravel Caught in Paw - Gravel), and grandmother(Loud Cackle of a Quail - Quail) - her other grandparents passing before she was born. It was nice to be able to go with South and her siblings and not have to hide who she was.
Lilac tagged along with the South and her family as often as she was allowed by her parents. She preferred just the company of the molly, but day by day she felt as if South's siblings were her own. The stone-guard fledgling felt this pull even more when Reed, South's sibling, was injured by foxes. She helped the family tend to the cat and was grateful to feel useful to them as opposed to being waited constantly.
The she-cat grew quickly and was soon the size of her mother and still fairly young. It was then that she was made into a stone-guard fledgling. It was tradition that those in her family stay stone-guards and mate with other stone-guards. They had to keep the family strong after all. This bothered Lilac. As much as she loved her family, she knew she would have to follow her heart no matter what that meant. As if she knew, she watched South become a prey-hunter. Not knowing why exactly, the she-cat felt a struggle in her soul.
It wasn't more a couple more moons did she realize her feelings for South. It was love, admiration, and trust. South was her everything at that point and she couldn't see herself being with anyone else.
Lilac dreading telling her parents, but it took her seconds to tell South her feelings once she realized what they were. It was the happiest time of her life. It all came crashing down when they announced themselves as mates and her parents heard. Her father immediately stormed off while all her mother could ask is if Lilac hated her. Grandma Quail denounced Lilac's lineage and concluded she was dead to the old bat. Lilac leaned hard onto South for support.
It wasn't long after that the second sickness hit the tribe. Lilac and South had both become sick. Luckily South wasn't too bad, but Lilac ended up getting it worse. It was then that she realized that her family was done with her. No one came to be by her side besides South and a few members of her family. The silver she-cat was able to escape death with minor scarring her her lungs. She has less endurance than she once had and will go into coughing fits during leaf-bare due to the cold.
Right before the end of leaf-bare, she had heard from other cats that her uncle was set to have his own kits. She was excited to have cousins, but knew her uncle would spin lies in their ears about her. His mate was a beautiful dark brown stone-guard. A little under two moons later, she heard the news of them welcoming two new kittens into the world. Her uncle's mate was a little more forgiving with Lilac and allowed her to visit her cousins once. She fell in love with the little balls of fur and decided then and there that she wanted children of her own.
With all the misfortunes in the tribe, however, she has yet been able to discuss this with South. She had tried once, but then the news of Leaf came through. Lilac joined South on search parties and made it her mission to find something. Unfortunately for them all, Leaf wasn't found. Lilac has been trying hard to cheer up her mate, but she also understands the pain the molly is going through.
