Briar That Climbs Stone Wallsbe
Tribe of Floating Stones
Small Torbie cat
Stone guard
Cis female
24 moons
Appearance
Briar is one of the smallest she-cats in the tribe, but don't judge too quickly. Despite being much smaller then most average cats Briar as a strong stocky build. She's strong and durable, usually able to take many hits. Briar has small ears but a long fluffy tail, usually kinked too her back or hiding her small palls, that don't seem to match her body.
Briar has a long torbie pelt, so long it can sometimes get in her way. She tries to groom it so it won't, but lots of battle training and spars leave it ragged and messy. She often will leave camp groomed, then come back messy. Most won't comment on this.
Briar has a rounded face, her long fur sticks up at random areas, but most notable are her eyes. They always seemed to be narrowed, as if she's always angry. It doesn't help she never seems to smile, always keeping a stony exterior. If she does smile, its usually a smug one.

Personality
Self-sufficient, Dutiful
Briar knows how to take care of herself and the best way to do it. Often rarely asking for help, or able figure it out on her own. She is not dependable on any cat.
Briar also knows her duty, she knows her job and she's trained hard to do it well. She makes sure she's ready to defend her tribe, and protect it from any outside forces. She seems to take it the most seriously
Standoffish, Hot Headed
Briar has a cold, distant personality. Usually by herself, if she is with anyone it is strictly professional. She doesn't open up to any cat, and can even throw out a couple insults if she gets angry. Most cats don't want to spend time with her, and she's perfectly happy about that.
Briar tends to let her anger rule her, often getting angry easily. Its almost like any disagreement could send the cat into a rage. Often she is known for angrily spitting insults at those who anger her. It takes awhile for her to calm down

History
The moment Briar was born, the weight of her family legacy fell on her. She was the last kit of her parents litter, and each of them had been strong successful cats. Her parents were greatly well known and respected, being one of the strongest, and selfless cats in their clan. Many stories of saving kits or helping others were shared to Briar. She had big shoes to fill, or that's what she was told. Briar wanted to be just like her parents, she idolized them more then anyone else, but didn't seem to pick up on they're lack of interest.
Briar was the smallest of their litters, even as a kit. Both parents were rather large but Briar was tiny, a runt. It didn't help she always seemed to mess up, or be scared of little things. Her parents wanted a big strong brave cat, to keep their honor but it seemed like Briar would be a dud. They didn't sugar coat they're disappointment, seemingly embarrassed of her around their other tribe mates. No matter how hard she tried she always seemed to drive them away. Her older siblings didn't bother with her either, only giving her some patronizing words of advice and leaving. This was the start of Briar's cold personality and self deprecating views.
When she became a to-be, she decided she'd be the best Stone Guard the tribe had ever seen. She was determined to make her parents proud. To make them see that she wasn't a disappointment, she could be just like them. Still no matter how hard she worked she was constantly compared to her siblings, and her family. If she was given any attention it was minimal and usually back handed. Still she tried, but became angrier and more isolated.
She considered her first fight the sickness that spread through the tribe. While she had been lucky enough not to be one of the cats that fell ill, she couldn't say some of her family had been that lucky. She was one of the healthy ones, and due to this she made sure to put her tribe first. She trained to be a strong fighter, to protect those who were sick and frail. She promised herself then she'd always protect the weak
Almost at the time of her graduating Creek passed. The clan was in disarray, a leader who had apparently more lives dying in their sleep. She knew the clan had different opinions of him but Briar had respect for the tom and his leadership, and she mourned his death quietly to herself.
When she finally became a Stone Guard not much had changed. She'd grown strong, but still she was not enough because of her size. She was known as a grumpy and angry cat, and most stayed clear of her. She has put all her energy into her work, and definitely doesn't think about her family and how they see her.
