Personality
(+)Sociable
Deercloud absolutely loves communication. It doesn't matter who he's talking to, or what they're talking about. He could probably talk all day, if anyone would let him.
(+)Generous
Deercloud wishes that he could give everyone the world. He would do anything within his power to make his friends and family happy, even at the cost of his own happiness.
(-)Submissive
Deercloud hates stepping on other cats toes. If he is told to do something by someone he sees as trustworthy, he will more than likely do what he was asked, even if it's dangerous.
(-)Insecure
He is always spending a lot of time in his own head. He puts himself down a lot, as he never thinks he will add up to anything special. If he does something wrong, it can sometimes get even worse.

History
Deerkit was born in Lichenclan, alongside his sister, Mothkit. Because he was the smaller of the two, he had a harder time playing and making friends, but Mothkit helped him a lot. While she could only do so much to help him, it meant a lot to Deerkit. It didn't take long until everything felt nearly meaningless to him, though. His mother got sick, and he didn't quite understand what was going on. He started feeling like he was being left in the dark on many things, but he did understand that he was just a kit. He wasn't supposed to worry about things like that.
Things were feeling tense around camp, but Deerkit felt that with the presence of Starclan, everything would go back to normal, everything would be ok. He didn't watch his father leave, he didn't even know he was leaving. He was too caught up worrying about his mother. When he got the news that he had died in a battle, he could feel his heart sink. He felt his heart sink even more when his mother was told, and the look on her face terrified him. It burned into his memory, he felt so helpless. When she died a few days later, he remembered hearing that it all had a purpose, and it was just Starclans way. He didn't like that very much, it was irritating. What purpose would Starclan have for both of his parents to die so young? If Starclan did exist, surely they wouldn't be so cruel. It just didn't make sense to him, even though he didn't say it out loud.
It seemed to him like everything had fallen apart; his family, his faith, and his heart. Even though he still had Mothkit, he could still tell that there was definitely something missing. He knew that she did a lot for him, and he felt terrible about it. He felt like he did nothing for her, when she used a ton of her energy to lift his spirits, even when hers were low. He promised himself that he would stop showing that he was sad and angry about it, because it seemed to only make things worse.
The day Deerpaw finally became an apprentice, he couldn't help but think of the two loving faces that starclan had supposedly taken away from him. They were supposed to watch it happen, but they weren't there. As he got a little bit older, he slowly let go of that anger, one step at a time. He trained as hard as he could, but there were a few hiccups along the way. His first mentor, Cricketcall, had become a queen. This meant that someone else would have to take over his training. While he was worried about who it would be, he figured that he would just try twice as hard!
He soon learned that Ospreyfur would take over his training immediately. He didn't know much about the molly, as she seemed to keep to herself quite a bit; this didn’t bother him though. Deerpaw sure didn’t keep to himself, but he could respect those who do, and their privacy. While at first it didn’t seem like their personalities mixed very well, it didn’t take very long for the two to warm up to each other. Deerpaw felt that she saw the two as equals, and the apprentice couldn’t have been happier. As the moons passed, and he got closer to being a warrior, Deerpaw and Ospreyfur had opened up to each other a lot. He could only really look at her as family now, and nothing could tell him any different, no matter how many cats happened to roll their eyes at them.
The day that he had become a warrior, he was given the name Deercloud. He loved his new name, and was actually sort of proud of it. However, this day also had an undertone of sadness for him. He had wanted to be named a warrior alongside his sister, Mothpaw, and it felt like he wasn’t even a real warrior. He wouldn’t be sad about it forever, though. He knew he could still always talk to her and bother her whenever he wanted, even if it wouldn’t be the same. He’s ready to be the best warrior he can possibly be, so that hopefully at least one other cat will be proud of him.
