BLUEFEATHER
THISTLECLAN
an ash-gray tom with green eyes and long fur
warrior
male
19 moons
Appearance
STATURE —
Bluefeather is an average ThistleClanner, short with dense fur. While at first his physique might seem quite out of shape for a warrior, a closer look finds that his forelegs and hind legs are quite toned. His fur hides his muscle, similarly to how a RedwoodClanner's fur might. Because of the lazy way he carries himself, he can easily come off as blissfully unaware of the world around him.
PELT —
Long fur adorns his features, especially blooming outward along his chest, neck, and shoulders. He is primarily a canvas of a deep, dark, shadowy gray. A snow-white scarf of color wraps around his neck and chest. Drops of that same alabaster coat the bridge of his nose, muzzle, and paws. His fur is soft, like the downy feathers of a baby bird.
FACE —
He boasts a broad, lion-like face, with subtle, light green eyes. Upon his face often lies a kind yet far away expression, as if in another world entirely. His nose is a mingle of salmon pink and soot gray. His whiskers are silky thin and white like spiderwebs. The ears he sports on either side of his head lay relaxed and droop slightly, often only perking up at the sounds of either his Clanmates or birdsong.

Personality
POSITIVE — playful, easygoing
Right a way, anyone can see that Bluefeather is a very easygoing tom-cat. He is most happy in situations where there is less pressure on him. On an average day, he is quite upbeat. He never takes himself (or anything really) too seriously, and likes to make his work quite playful. He isn't very hard to get along with, and enjoys joking around with others.
NEUTRAL — lonely, shy
Despite his carefree nature, there are some things Bluefeather does worry about. At times, he he can be quite lonely due to his shyness. He has trouble moving out of his comfort zone in most scenarios, especially those of a social setting. Though he longs to fit in with the rest of his Clanmates the most, he really isn't sure how. He is mostly accustomed to his loneliness, however; he doesn't mind the company of just him and himself.
NEGATIVE — daydreamer, lazy
It isn't in anyway untrue that Bluefeather is a bit of an airhead at times. He doesn't care about too many things, and often would rather be lounging about in a tree or chasing birds than doing mundane warrior tasks. He daydreams frequently about the aforementioned activities. This can make him come off as lazy, which isn't entirely untrue of his character.

History
KITHOOD
— Lightning Before the Thunder
Two warriors, young and naive, decided to have kits quite soon after becoming warriors themselves. Thus, Bluekit grew up in a big litter of kits, constantly drowned into the background and vying for attention from his mother and father. The swarm of kittens overwhelmed their new parents every other day.
To gain affection from his parents versus his siblings, he became much more athletic than the other kits of his litter. He would practice his moss ball skills in his free time, tussle with other kits (much to his mother's dismay), and even try to carry other kits on his back. This reassured his parents, not because he won his childish games, but because he showed promise as a warrior.
This was the first of many mistakes he made throughout his life.
APPRENTICEHOOD
— Running Down to the Riptide
Bluepaw was - theoretically - the perfect apprentice. He put tremendous effort into every training session thrown his way, and always received high praise from his parents, mentor, and fellow apprentices. However, the constant attention began to fully devour his self-worth. Others often talked about how he'd get his warrior name early, and soon enough, he plateaued.
Put under too much pressure, every little mistake he made threw him off. While he never did bad, even the smallest flaw in his technique, one lost catch, or a sloppy kill on a hunt would ruin his whole day. Eventually, he became depressed, and just decided if he couldn't do things perfectly, there was no point doing them at all. His peers remarks and his parents disappointment him at his mistakes cut deeper than any claws could.
In the middle of hunts, patrols, and training sessions, Bluepaw deliberately would do bad, or rebel and run off. He would hide out in trees for as long as he could, sometimes all night, and would come to back to camp dead tired. In the evening, when he finally came to, his mentor would give him an earful.
It came to bite him when he was finally held back for his warrior name. He was the oldest apprentice in his den, without his own tunnel dug up for himself. There was nothing more infuriating for him.
— Not a Role Model
After all his peers moved on to be warriors, Bluepaw finally had time to reflect on his life and recover from his adolescence on his own. He knew he was faced with the choice: to leave ThistleClan, or swallow his pride and stay. He heavily leaned toward leaving. But a feeling of inadequacy lingered within him that prevented him from giving up just yet.
Ignoring his parents' worries and disapproval, he forced himself to face his fears. He forgave himself when he slipped up, and tried to tell himself that one minor mistake wasn't the end of the world. He let go of his self-criticism and inhibitions until finally he had mellowed out to a more relaxed, carefree tom, free of his previous anxiety.
WARRIOR STATUS
— Spreading His Wings
Additionally, he made a habit of taking breaks and giving himself valuable time to himself to unwind and destress from his training. He still has trouble talking to others do to the wall he now puts between himself and his Clanmates, but he is quite afraid of repeating his past. For the most part, he mellowed out into his adulthood, understanding now of the fact he cannot please everyone, nor should he compare himself to others.
Thanks to this and more, Bluepaw finally earned his warrior name: Bluefeather, for his impeccable skills in climbing and hunting birds. Ever since that day, Bluefeather can be heard carelessly humming softly to himself now and then, often to mimic his favorite birds. Free of worries now, Bluefeather finally spread his wings.
