Appearance
Apple is quite sturdy compared to some of her more slender and elegantly built tribe-mates. It was clear from a young age that she would have the musculature of a stone-guard. She is not especially tall, but neither is she short. Her stocky limbs change little in thickness, tapering only slightly before they end in large, round paws. A thick pelt lends some to her large appearance, especially in her tail. Her tail seems especially thick, but it is mostly just fur.
Apple has a pelt that glows in the sun. Predominantly orange with brilliant white underneath. The white goes up all four legs, stopping at the halfway point on her hind legs while creeping up towards her shoulders on the front. A strip of white interrupts the orange along the midline of her stomach, spreading out across her chest and up the lower half of her face. Almost like a beauty spot, a splotch of orange has found its place on the left side of her muzzle. Her orange seems almost uniform in color, turning more noticeably striped along her legs, cheeks and tail. Upon closer inspection, though, it’s actually a ticked pattern across the bulk of her body. The dark and light is blended together in a way that lends her an appearance of almost solid orange.
Her face is round and her ears wide-set giving her head an apple shape that mirrors her name. Her slightly long muzzle ends in a soft pink nose. The stone guard’s eyes, wide and rounded, are a deep amber color that ranges from almost brown to bright orange depending on the light.

Personality
+Loyal - Though somewhat difficult to earn, Apple’s loyalty is a trait that really defines her. Once she has decided that a cat is on her side, she would do anything to help them and keep them safe. This applies most strongly to her family. While in her youth, she bore an extreme sense of duty to her parents and siblings, as she grew and fell in love, her priorities changed. Now her focus is on her mate and kits primarily along with a few cats that she chooses to call her friends.
+Confident - Apple is nothing if she’s not sure of herself. She is confident in her skills as a stone-guard, she is confident in her role as a mate and mother and she firmly believes that there isn’t anything that she can’t do. This can sometimes lead her to take unnecessary risks, but it is also what drove her decision to part from the tribe for the birth of her kits. She knew that she and Flicker would be able to keep their family fed and protected. There was never a doubt in her mind that they would succeed or that they were making the right choice.
~Calm - Level-headed in the most stressful of times, Apple always finds the time to take a moment and consider her options without the cloud of emotion getting in her way. She rarely raises her voice or loses her temper.
-Distrustful - A trait that has only been exacerbated by becoming a mother, Apple finds herself skeptical of the intentions of anyone outside of her trusted circle. It takes a long time for the stone-guard to decide a cat doesn’t mean her or her family harm, even some of those in the Tribe. This leads her to be especially protective of her sons as she is eager to make sure no one bears them ill will.
-Obstinate - At times, Apple is so stubborn it seems that she’s doing it simply to be contrary. She picks her side and then she will die on that hill. She rarely changes her mind on something and that includes how much she is willing to work with her Tribe Mates. Though, to an extent, she realizes that there is some virtue to working in a team, a majority of the time she prefers to work on her own. She is firmly stuck to her beliefs and ideals and refuses to listen to anyone trying to change her mind.

History
Apple was born in the second litter of a pair of respected stone-guards. Though she was the lone kit of her litter, her parents and older siblings doted on her from the moment her eyes were open. She never wanted for company or attention and, as the baby of the family, she had her every whim catered to until she was ready to start her training.
With an already enlarged ego, Apple threw herself headlong into her training. With her parents and siblings already stone-guards, her path seemed clearly set for her and she found her required training with the prey-hunters boring… at least at first. In one of her early sessions, she met one of her fellow to-bes, Flicker, and was instantly smitten. Though she didn’t tell any cat, she decided early on that this was the tom she would spend the rest of her life with. All that remained was to make him realize it as well.
Flicker was one of the only cats that she spoke to during her training. Though she was skilled, she was happy to silently absorb the praise of her elders while she honed her skills. When she wasn’t with her family, Flicker was one she preferred to spend her time with. Her parents would gently coax her to spend time with other to-bes that showed promise as stone-guards, but she brushed them off. This young prey-hunter was the cat for her, she was sure of it. It didn’t matter to her what their lineages said. After all, where in the tribe rules does it say that prey-hunters and stone-guards couldn’t be together.
Upon her realization as a full member of the tribe and her assignment to stone-guard duties, Apple cemented her goals and took Flicker as her mate. The pair spent all their time together and she wouldn’t have had it any other way. Between the obvious disdain from his family and the sort of acceptance that she could tell was forced from her own, Apple often felt like it was her and Flicker against everything.
When the sickness came to the tribe, it couldn’t have been more poorly timed. Having just discovered that she was expecting kits, Apple was growing increasingly worried about her health and the health of her mate. Though she didn’t try to stop him from visiting his family, she seemed hyper aware of every cough and sniffle the prey-hunters made. It eventually came to the point when Apple could stand it no longer. As their Tribe grew sicker, Flicker and Apple withdrew to have their kits in a secluded den, well away from the sickness. Flicker fed them and Apple kept them safe, though there were few threats to the tiny family.
Her sons, Amber that has Eaten Bugs and Sand Warmed by Sweltering Sun, grew like weeds. Apple couldn’t have been happier to have them. Her world felt perfect. All she needed were her toms, Flicker and their sons. But as the kits grew, she became more and more aware that their time to reintroduce themselves to the Tribe drew near. Though she was loving life on their own, she couldn’t deny that there was strength in numbers. Her sons would need multiple perspectives in order to grow into well rounded cats. And so, with some reluctance, she and Flicker returned to the Tribe and introduced their kits to be trained.
