Ottercloud
RedwoodClan
A cheerful, chocolate tom with a luxurious coat.
Warrior
Tom
22 Moons
Appearance
Ottercloud appears to be a perfectly normal tom cat, if not a bit delicate for a RedwoodClanner, until he begins to move. Indeed his luxurious coat and glamorous appearance belie Ottercloud’s curious, hind-leg driven gait. Perhaps because of Ottercloud’s peculiar plodding saunter, he does not spend much time training his body like his peers and has cultivated more mass than muscle. Despite his softness and chunky build, Ottercloud manages to look regal at most times.
Ottercloud’s pelt is his pride, and he takes meticulous care in its upkeep and gleaming presentation. His chocolate coat is fluffy and abundantly thick. His cowl and mane fluff out to frame his sleekly furred head, and his swishing, luxuriant tail is the talk of the town.
Ottercloud has a deceptively narrow head, only made wide in appearance by his densely fluffy cheeks and modest jowls. His features are pronounced and almost rudely handsome, though he can’t help but keep a passive expression of mild disdain whenever he is not engaged with something.

Personality
Sociable, Amiable, Nurturing, Generous
Languid, Non-Confrontational, Unbothered
Procrastinating, Bad Influence, Gossiper, Irresponsible
Ottercloud is a sweet cat, kind in nature and ever the social spirit. Especially caring towards kits and Elders, Ottercloud spends much of his time in both the Nursery and Elder’s Den tending to and entertaining the inhabitants. He gives his time freely to the young of RedwoodClan, and is always sure to bring supper to the most distinguished in the clan before seeing to his own needs.Languid, Non-Confrontational, Unbothered
Procrastinating, Bad Influence, Gossiper, Irresponsible
Nothing ever seems to effect Ottercloud very much, and his social graces carry him through life like an unhurried stream. Where other cats might take offense to a slight or rise to a provocation, Ottercloud prefers to defuse situations with humor and deescalate threatening predicaments. He slips verbal jabs and pointed remarks like a trained pugilist, and attempts at humiliation help brighten his day, though he rarely returns with any taunting of his own.
However, Ottercloud is known to some cats to be just as lazy as one can be. More-so than that, he is known to have a certain effect on the youth of society and his antics and advice often lead to mischief. More than one prank has been orchestrated by the fluffy tom, and more than several patrols have been artfully dodged or delegated away. The most savvy are also aware of Ottercloud’s proclivity to volunteer information both public and explicitly private as a social pastime, and are aware of perhaps one or more rumor that has been dispensed from the Tom’s chatty lips. Ottercloud will do anything to avoid work, even share information that is not his to give away.
History
Orphaned during the war with Lichenclan, Ottercloud was left to the communal care of the queens in RedwoodClan. Having taken an especially keen liking to one queen, he claimed Drizzlepelt as his official auntie and sought to emulate her behavior. Ottercloud was a scourge and menace to some queens, and an absolute delight to others. After adopting Drizzlepelt as an auntie, he rarely gave thought to the consequence of his biological parents’ passing and dedicated himself to nursery life. Ottercloud made many friends during his kithood and formed several meaningful and lasting relationships with the queens and those that supported their efforts.
Unfortunately, every great thing must come to an end. His kithood, extended by nearly a moon, ended all too quickly for Ottercloud’s tastes and he reluctantly accepted his Apprenticeship under CatCat. He survived his Apprenticeship, to the surprise of some, though the ordeals he went through would shape his work ethic forever. Though he saw battles and witnessed combat, he rarely took part in the fighting and preferred to tend to his wounded clanmates and assist in any way he could (as long as it didn’t involve actual heroics). Most of his free time during his Apprenticeship was spent in the nursery, under the pretense of helping the queens share the burden of raising kits. In fact, he spent so much time in the nursery that his presence there became almost expected. Once the time came for his trials he performed them with unprecedented daintiness, yet still undeniably (and mostly technically) achieved success at his given tasks. During his vigil he nearly fell out of his tree post three times, an event that haunts him and his dreams.
As soon as Ottercloud was able to break away from his Apprenticeship he did so, and eventually became a full-fledged warrior. Unlike other warriors that trained their bodies and claws, Ottercloud quickly discovered the power of eavesdropping and the value that both fact and rumor held especially where work avoidance was concerned. He frequently offered to kitsit for reluctant or weary queens, and as often as possible cited his self-imposed responsibilities as reasons to avoid patrols, hunts, or gatherings. As with every stage of his life, Ottercloud could be expected to be found in the nursery playing mossball with kits, sharing gossip with impressionable youth, and teaching the art of pranks and practical jokes to runty kits. Over time, he aims to become an ingrained member of the nursery once more, and become a permanent and indisplaceable queen like his dearest Auntie.
