Appearance
According to warrior conventions of beauty, Weaselpelt is strikingly handsome and strong. His long, ruddy pelt is golden brown ticked with black flecks, indicating good breeding on behalf of his historically vain bloodlines. Upon his face rests deep green eyes with a rather smug (and perhaps vacant) expression. A bushy tail confidently flicks back-and-forth behind him, giving him a somewhat fox-like appearance. While he looks akin to a fox as a mature adult, his kittenhood was defined by his more weasel-like appearance as he grew into his body and his tail thickened.
Overall, he is a large, brawny cat with well-defined muscles beneath his stunning pelt. These muscles have developed due to his borderline excessive training to tone his muscles. This training is aimed towards vain pursuits rather than improving his skills as a warrior. For instance, he regularly climbs trees, jumps across branches, and sprints around to improve his muscle mass. Due to this incessant exercise, he frequently cleans his pelt to maintain a tidy appearance to compliment his athletic physique.
His body is completely free of any blemishes and scars, despite being apparently involved in numerous border disputes and battles. With regard for battle, Weaselpelt’s claws are his greatest source of shame. His claws are slightly below average length due to his ridiculous training regimes where he overexerts his claws in climbing, grinding them to dull nubs. Thus, he rarely unsheathes his claws in front of others (and in battle) to avoid injuring his vain pride.

Personality
Arrogant, vain, pompous, proud, and conceited are words that often describe Weaselpelt. However, his clanmates typically forgive his sinful disposition from the impression he gives of being a determined, driven, strong, tenacious, brave, bold, and fierce warrior. This impression that he is a powerful warrior derives from his clanmates’ judging his physical appearance. Most eyes merely gloss over his surface, failing to dissect his behavior, since he appears to be a simple-minded meathead. However, this is far from the truth.
Beneath his rippling muscles is an insecure coward. His greatest fear is marring his looks, revealing his inner cowardice to others, and death. Thus, he is secretly one of the ineptest warriors in all of Redwoodclan despite his strength and feigned confidence. How has he made it this far and never blown his cover? Firstly, he often avoids battle at all costs, including pretending to become sick before the fight or during the fight. If the fight is unavoidable then during the thick of battles, he has a clever strategy to appear fighting by running around the crowd, pretending to pursue a foe and rubbing blood on his paws. He often “bravely” helps pull his injured clanmates from the fight, earning him titles of being both strong and compassionate. Perhaps it is not a coincidence that he is named after a weasel after all.
Despite his vain, powerful presented demeanor, can Weaselpelt continue this façade? Or will his cowardice finally surface?

History
During his kittenhood, Weaselpelt could never live up to his parent’s expectations; he was too fainthearted for his father and not the daughter that his mother longed for. In the beginning, his life was an unending battle to gain his parent’s attention and approval. Thus, he quickly learned how to manipulate other cat’s impressions of him through the façade of being a brave, fearless warrior. His apprenticeship was where he began to shine as he trained extensively to gain a powerful appearance. Through tireless training, his battle and hunting techniques were perfected, allowing him to quickly reach warrior status. Even as an apprentice, he could cleverly avoid real battles where claws were unsheathed through faking injury, illness, or taking on personas of a merciful warrior.
After his mother and father died, the former from a border skirmish gone wrong and the latter from greencough, his fear of death grew more toxic. As his fears grew stronger, his feigned arrogance grew stronger as well to compensate for his mental weakness. However, it was during this period that his wall momentarily lapsed, revealing his cowardice and insecurity. For instance, he balked from a fight under the critical eyes of his clanmates and Thistleclan during a border dispute. While this instance could be attributed to his “grief” from the death of his “beloved” parents, it could be possible that some clanmates became suspicious of his true heart. However, he believes that none had, mostly attributed to his fake confidence.
During his lifetime, he has never attracted many true friends due to his hidden ingenuity and arrogance, making him an unattractive friend in the first place. Not only that, but his smugness causes him to view others as beneath him, preventing him from ever initiating friendships as well. Similarly, his fear of appearing dishonored makes him avoid coming close to others as well. At this point in his life, it is unknown as to whether his phony exterior can be chipped away to allow for meaningful relationships.
