Appearance
Starling and her sister are as different in appearance as their own parents are. Where her sister takes after her father, Starling takes after her mother, though she is a bit finer boned and angular, especially due to her youth. She may fill out like her mother in time, but for now she looks like a quintessential Prey Runner, lean, long, and slim. It makes her look extra small, since she takes after her mother's size as well. In fact even full grown she will be shorter than all her family members, even a bit than her mother.
Her face is not quite as round as her mother's, being a little closer to triangular, with soft smooth lines, though as she grows and fills out it will grow closer to her mother's. It seems her ears are a bit large for her head, while her muzzle seems a bit small, a hodge podge of features. Her eyes though are her own, shimmering a pale yellow with hints of green, like spring buds in the sunlight.
As a calico tabby, she sports a variety of colors across her pelt. White stretches from her paws up her chest and belly and fully around her neck, except for where color stretches almost like a sleeve partway down her front left leg. Her back and tail are patched and dappled by alternating red and gray/brown mackerel tabby, in warm earthen tones that look like the forest floor in fall with colorful leaves mixed with damp earth. While the patches mix and intermingle, the color on her leg is completely gray-brown tabby. He face is also starkly marked, with a white muzzle and blaze reaching between her eyes and out sideways beneath them. Her forehead and ears are split almost in the middle between ginger and brown, with a few small speckles of ginger on the brown side.

Personality
+ Social
+ Resourceful
= Flamboyant
- Spoiled
- Lazy
Growing up in a big family has its perks, and one of them is that Starling is well socialized. She has a lot of friends and acquaintances, inside and outside of her family, and knows how to talk to them. She is a master of small talk and just general conversation, friendly and easy to like at first. With so many other cats moving in and out and about her life, she actually spends very little time alone, and will seek other cats out to spend time with them. If she doesnt get attention, doesnt get her way, she can be petty and childish, a bit demanding. She expects other cats to give their time and attention to her, its all she's really known. After all she is the baby of the family, and tiny to boot. Clearly she deserves everything she is given.
But she isnt dumb either, and she uses her charms and her cute little self to find a way to get what she wants. She is the kind of cat who lives by the "work smarter not harder rule." As she grows she will find a way to cultivate relationships to her benefit, to find her way around working hard and long. It can take some cats some time to realize she is intentionally doing this, and that she is actually lazy. Part of her act is being over the top and flamboyant, feminine and distracting. Her size helps her as she makes excuses (which sometimes are likely to be true) about her abilities.

History
The Tribe is close knit already, but for Starling that Swoops from Treetops and her sister Orchid that Blooms by Night, it is much more than that. Born to Talon of Owl who Hunts at Dawn, the Head Stone Guard, and Maple that Burns at Dawn, a nurturing and active Prey Hunter, their connections within the clan would already be enough as is. Yet both parents have had litters before, meaning that Starling and Orchid have four half siblings (Maple: Hemlock where Shade Grows. Talon: Primrose who Flowers by Starless Night, Falcon who Soars on Broken Wing, and Song of River at Dusk) and one foster sibling (Fog that Hang's in Air), all older than her. With so many different family members, Starling finds from an early age she is at both ends of the spectrum, sometimes she feels like she isn't getting enough attention and other times she feels overwhelmed. But even from a young age she feels that she must find a way to stand out from the family.
That's not to say her kithood is dull or lonely, in fact she is busy and entertained constantly. At least it mostly helps her stay out of trouble. Mostly.
