WINDstorm
REDWOODCLAN
long-haired white she-cat with ginger patches and dark orange eyes
warrior
she-cat
54 moons
Appearance
Windpaw is rather small and almost runty looking due to her rough start to life, but don't let that fool you. She's wiry, compact, and has hidden strength to match her snark. Her muscles are thick and corded, even for an apprentice, and she has a strong forepaw swipe. Windpaw is built for explosive power, with very little leeway for speed and endurance. She makes up for her lack in height in her tenacity and strength.
Her pelt is long and thick, almost to the point of being a bit of a burden. She's not very good at keeping it in order, often times appearing more than a little unkempt. She's a rough and tumble girl, and it shows in her appearance. She has a bright ginger tail, and ginger patches along her head and neck, and though her base coat is white, it often has more of a tawny tinge due to her lack of desire for keeping it spotless.
Her face is perhaps the only thing that matches her feminine nature, with rather delicate lines. Her eyes are a dark orange, and if she wasn't so keen on keeping a sour look and a sneer on her face, she'd almost be pretty.

Personality
HARDWORKING & GRITTY:: Any young cat is courageous and brave, but Windpaw is exceptional. Not much frightens her nor gets her discouraged, and if she has any inkling of being able to do something, she will do it until her paws fall off. She's not above getting dirty to get what she wants. She is by no means a genius, and often has to work harder than others to get things done. She's yet to come into her own and is still figuring out how she fits in with her clan.
AMBITIOUS & SHARP:: Despite her physical slowness, Windpaw is known to think outside the box and have a quick wit. She's not easily dettered by sharp words and gives as good as she gets. She's determined to make it far in her clan and quick to see what needs to be done to better herself. She's a bit of a workhorse, all work, little play, and little talk for between.
LOYAL TO A FAULT :: Fiercely loyal to her clan, like all RedwoodClans, Windpaw can be blinded by her desire to do what her clan needs. She views herself as little more than a pawn to help her clan, and this puts her at odds a lot with her peers and herself even.
TEMPERAMENTAL & COMPULSIVE:: Windpaw's quick wit is as much as a downfall as it is a strength. She's got a short temper equal to that of a badger, and compulsive, moreso than most youths. She's easily roused, and will fight back with word and claw if needed. She's headstrong and finds it hard to follow orders because she really does not like being told what not to do. It's very easy to get on her bad side and as equally easy to stay there.
HOSTILE & SKEPTICAL:: Very unlike her clan, Windpaw is a withdrawn individual who does not like to let others close. She has the attitude of a badger with a thorn in its paw, and does not like to talk about frivolous affairs. She here's to earn her place and pull her weight in the clan, not make friends. She's aggressive and mean to the point of hostility and not above hissing or swiping at someone if she's mad enough. Windpaw is very un-trusting of other cats and views most of her clans' friendly nature with skepticism. She's been on the receiving end of forgotten promises and such too much to take most of her Clan's kindness to heart. She tends to take their friendly natures at face value and isn't moved by acts of kindness anymore.
WITHDRAWN & INSECURE:: Windpaw's arrogant, hostile nature is all a front. She may come off as a confident, strong minded individual, but Windpaw is actually very secretly insecure of herself and her place within the clan. She's never felt like she really belonged, as she was never a friendly cat to begin with, and being a bit of a pessimist and a workaholic, she's not fun to hang around with.

History
KITHOOD::
Windkit's start in life was anything but kind. She was born alongside her sister to a distraught, grieving mother, who was fiercely in love with her father. Her father's death broke her mother, who gave birth to Windkit and her sibling mere days afterwards. Frosteyes quickly ended her life after her kits were born into the world. Windkit was born a sickly little thing not expected to last the first few days of her life. Windkit lived, though, and was taken in by a fellow queen, albeit reluctantly. Windkit was almost taboo, and she was a strange kit from the start, quiet and meek among the loud, boisterous clan. Not even her sister could find the time or desire to bond with her. Windkit grew up knowing her mother didn't love her enough to stay, knew she was an oddity, and knew she was viewed as a weakling. Despite the odds stacked against the orphan kit that preferred to spend her days in the quiet nursery alone, Windkit grew and learned.
She learned not to trust, and not to follow her heart, and not show her true feelings. She became aware of the strange looks and grew hostile underneath them, frustrated with others and herself at the inability to discover why no one loved her, why no one wanted to fight back against the thorn, why did everyone leave her and what is wrong with her?
Apprenticeship:: Her apprenticeship has only just begun, but Windpaw is proud of how far she's gotten despite the odds. She's no longer the sickly little kit to look at with pity. Now she's on her way to becoming a warrior.
